   2nd time at Pelato and another great experience. Service is fast and everyone is lovely. Food itself if truly great. Have yet to have a dish I haven’t liked. They recommend 3-4 plates per person. Some dishes are on the heavier side so I would order on the smaller side (3 per) and add from there. Have to admit I thought getting the broccolini would be a mistake but it might be my second favorite dish. Nothing beats their vodka sauce. And as a New Jersey transplant I’ve eaten a lot of vodka sauce.

   Pelato is some of the best Italian food I’ve had in a long time. I think it’s the best in Nashville that’s for sure. What’s strange to me about this place however is the vibe and the service. It kind of feels like an Olive Garden with the way the ordering is done. The food is outstanding so you’d expect like a rustic Italian vibe inside and more catered service versus ordering on kiosks the servers have. If it was better vibe and service I’d give this place 5 stars. The food is 5 stars though!

   I always bring out of town family and friends and it’s always great! Our waitress was awesome, & in the past we’ve had George who is incredible! Keep slaying ✨👑

   A group of us came from out of town with high hopes with our reservations at Pelato. Positive - The place had a nice vibe and a decent amount of vegetarian options. Negative - No kids menu, portions were extremely small for the price and flavor for most of the items we ordered was bland. And they kept taking our plates with a little bit of food in it that we planned to eat which was super annoying given how expensive everything was. They should make it very obvious that they are more of a Tapas restaurant so customers can have an accurate expectation. Food - vodka pasta tasted great - eggplant Parmesan tasted good - cauliflower appetizer tasted great - garlic bread was too hard - chickpea fritter was tasteless - zucchini fries were too oily and tasteless - pesto pasta was okay

It is always our intent to provide guests with nothing but the most positive experience, so we share in the disappointment to hear you were not overall pleased. We certainly try to be up front with our style of service as the words "small sharable plates" appear on our menu, our website, on OpenTable, and just about any other public platform. We do not offer a kids menu, though we have found that parents are fond of the portion sizes for their children since they are not too large or wasteful.
