The food is absolutely sensational. Just when you think it can’t get better the next dish tops the last. The staff are so helpful, kind and fun. The ambiance is relaxing and intimate. Favourite restaurant in London.

2nd visit Great welcome Superb food. Fab drinks. (Felt forgotten in regard to service. Several times we were left without food or drinks. We could see that other tables had a better experience. Example, we had to get the staffs attention if we wanted anything.

Attentive service, food really good with unusual combination of ingredients. We took the chef testing menu that for 45£ per head is a nibble, oyster, one starter, one main and one dessert everything to share. For 90£ and portion size I found it quite pricey. Overall nice experience

Booked Pearly Queen for my partners birthday as I’d loved it the first time and my partner is a fan of the Chef. We waited way over half an hour after starters for our mains, then one of the mains just didn’t show up. We asked about it but they just said the kitchen had now closed. This was before 10pm. Disappointing but we said it was fine to just take it off the bill. A while later, a member of staff accused us of lying and that they checked the CCTV of us receiving the main… madness. We think they must have seen us receiving another side we ordered while waiting for our mains as they were taking forever. Either way, to be sat there accused that we were making it up was pretty horrible and completely ruined our evening. Why would we lie about not receiving one of the dishes? We knew we didn’t receive it as it was the main we were most excited for.. and we can count.. The staff at the bar were totally unprofessional and made us feel terrible. Talking about us right in front of us. The member of staff went back downstairs for ages, meanwhile we paid the bill as we just wanted to get out of there. When he came back up we thought he was going to apologise about falsely accusing us but instead he just offered us a free shot? Worst service we’ve ever experienced and completely ruined my partners birthday meal. Won’t be going back there again.

The food was amazing - my highlights were the smoked mussel gilda, the crab bun and the cuttlefish lasagna but everything was fantastic so hard to pick a favourite! Really interesting cocktail menu, very friendly and helpful service, cool decor. Our only minor complaint was that in the downstairs area the low lighting made it a little difficult to read the menus.

slightly disappointed as was benching this against cornerstone. The £5 gilda was tiny and really quite underwhelming. All the other dishes were decent and the hake kiev was outstanding. However, £8 courgette was inedible, quite unpleasant that the other two people with me refused to eat...

Lovely experience, Christina (?) was a superb host, great drinks, fabulous food and a nice chat with Tom. Really couldn’t fault anything. The food is superb and the pricing ridiculously cheap for the quality. Loved Cornerstone and wish I had got myself into gear to go to PQ sooner. Cannot wait to go back. At this quality and value of money I hope to be a regular.

This was our first time visiting Pearly Queen and it was amazing so much so that as soon as we arrived back at our hotel we rebooked for next week. The oysters were some of the tastiest we have had in London and the hake (which we shared along with winter greens) was also one of the tastiest dishes we have had in a very long while. The wine list and service was excellent and what we really liked was that the table we were allocated was big enough for us to share the food which is often not the case in most London restaurants.
