Paya is an exuberant, island-inspired restaurant and bar located on Miami’s South Beach founded by Mohamed “Mo” Alkassar and Chef Niven Patel, the duo behind FEAL Hospitality. It is a platform for Chef Niven Patel to pay homage to the insular cuisines of the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and Spain’s islands, where he and Mo have either worked or visited extensively. Chef Niven’s dishes incorporate ingredients he grows at Rancho Patel, complemented by vibrant wines and tropical, farm to glass cocktails.

The restaurant features 56 dining room seats, 25 bar seats, and 8 raw bar seats, with a gorgeous display of fresh seafood. Expect to jam to some Manu Chao style music while basking in the vibrant island vibes and flavors. South Beach has been home to Mo since he moved to Miami in 2016, and Paya is his thank-you to the community that supported him through his journey.

What a great experience! The food was absolutely incredible - highly recommend the ceviche and papaya salad appetizers. We had the lemongrass fresh catch as a meal and it was possibly one of the best dishes I have ever had. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was energetic and fun. Perfect for a fun date night or dinner with friends. Don't skip out on the Jello Shots!

Interesting, unusual food. We did the tasting menu on Monday at a great value for money $50pp. Everything was delicious. Special mention for the lamb chops, steak and the fish in a coconut sauce with rice.

This is a new resturant (about 5 months). I hope it does great as the food and service is simply amazing. Such different dishes all cooked to perfection which show cases the skill of the chef. We will be sure to visit every time. Best of luck Paya

Amazing restaurant fabulous food. We discovered Paya on our last night in Miami and i was so sad about that. I went back to our hotel within walking distance and told the front desk to send guests their way. We dined outside area which has a wonderful ambiance with string lights and a chill atmosphere. I want to head back to Miami just to eat there. Ps we are foodies and travelers.

the outdoor space is awesome. although our server was great and the food was wonderful. the time for it to get out of the kitchen was longer than in previous times. still love it here definitely a local gem.

We had a delicious price fixed meal on a Monday night for $50 which included 10 dishes on their tasting menu. They were all tasty and a terrific value. Even their regular menu is reasonable. This is a second visit for us and we will be back. The outdoor setting is nicely landscaped with plantings and overlooks a small hotel pool.
