Waiter was rushed. They did not make the cocktail I asked for. The steak was tough and chewy. The puff pastry in my salmon was soggy. The chocolate mousse presentation was weird and unappetizing. The duck was salty.

Great hidden gem in the neighborhood. Been there with a large group and dinner for two. Both times it was wonderful.

Whenever we’re in NYC, we’ve come here through all its many iterations. The French reprise is top notch. Food and atmosphere are great. We’ll be back!

We love this restaurant. We go before performances at Carnegie and City Center. The ambiance is perfect. You can have a conversation without yelling. Beautiful room. Excellent service. Terrific food. Try the lamb, the duck, the salmon. All wonderful. The apple tart for dessert. They make a good martini, and have interesting wines by the glass. It's a great addition to the neighborhood.

The food, atmosphere, and value were excellent. My wife and I both definitely enjoyed our meals. She had the prix fixe salmon, and the salad was a meal in itself, then topped off with dessert. I had the Niciose Salad. Everything thing was excellently prepared and delicious. I could not rate as 5 star because the service was some of the worst ever. Our server seemed to be having a really bad day, as he was preoccupied, slow, forgetful, got my order wrong, and we had to keep asking other servers for water. Once the manager found out, she did everything that she could to remedy the situation and went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was up to their standards. We'll definitely go back as their menu selection was very intriguing.

This is trying to be a Parisian bistro - there are others in NYC that succeed very well. This does not. There's really no understanding of what makes Parisian bistros work. For example - I ordered escargots. When they came, I asked for some bread to go with them (which would not have needed to be a request in a proper bistro). When the bread came, some 15 minutes later by which time I'd finished my snails, far from the baguette I was hoping for, it was sourdough - and toasted. (Had I wanted toast, I'd have asked for it.) It just feels that this has been done as a concept by someone who has no idea of what it should be like, and would be much happier running a sports bar (there was loud basketball on a giant tv in the bar area). If you want a Parisian bistro in NYC, go to L'Express, or Rue 57.
