Pammy’s is a New American restaurant inspired by the feel of an Italian neighborhood trattoria. Perched between Cambridge’s Central and Harvard Squares, Pammy’s is a cozy yet sophisticated neighborhood destination. For husband and wife team Chris and Pam Willis (who live right up the street), Pammy’s is an extension of their living room. They’ve brought together their love of great food, easy hospitality and chic vibes to create a lively space that is welcoming to all looking for a memorable meal. With dishes that lean heavily on Italian flavors but are not restricted by any rules of the cuisine, the food is unpretentious and delicious. A fireplace wrapped in white ceramic, an oversized salvaged communal table designed for side-by-side dining and rich leather banquets are just some of the design elements that make up Pammy’s charm.

We're currently serving a Prix Fixe menu for all reservations. A la carte dining is available for walk-in guests at our bar and in our lounge.

Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: Christopher Willis

From the OpenTable editors: A centerpiece tile hearth, rich leather banquettes, and a 14-foot communal table lined with flowers make Pammy’s feel like a good friend’s cozy living room. With an approachable menu of hearty Italian American dishes that could include lasagna bianca with wild onion chutney, wife-and-husband team Pam and Chris Willis have created an inviting space you’ll want to return to again and again.

The limited time squid ink gnocchi with lobster was amazing. The wait staff truly works as a team, timely picking up dishes and ensuring that your needs are met. They also were super knowledgeable of the menu, so much so I ventured with a gin cocktail (I hate gin) and found that the gin was just like the waiter described (well masked). 10/10

We were seated by the window, hoping for a warm and cozy meal on a cold winter evening. Unfortunately, the large windows were very drafty, and we had to keep our coats on the whole time. The cold air was so noticeable that the short curtains were moving. It wasn’t just us—everyone sitting near the windows was bundled up in jackets and scarves, trying to stay warm while eating. The food and service might have been nice, but it was hard to enjoy with the constant chill. Hopefully, the restaurant fixes this because it has the potential to be a great, cozy spot.

My husband and I went to Pammy's with great expectations. The experience, while enjoyable, fell a bit short of what we had been led to expect from the stellar reviews we had read. The ambience is cozy and welcoming, but extremely noisy. Despite having arrived at 9:30, the place was full, and between the loud music and the close proximity of other tables, it was difficult to converse without yelling, which of course made matters worse. We asked a server to turn the music down a bit which, to his credit, he did, and that helped somewhat. The menu is limited, and you can choose any three dishes for a prix fixe of $84. That seems quite reasonable, but by the time we added wine (expensive), dessert (extra) and tip, we ended up paying twice that. The food was very creative, and of the six dishes the two of us ordered, all were very good and two were excellent, but the chicken yakitori is the only one I'd come back for. I ordered a pasta dish, a fish course and the chicken. Our server explained that the three courses would arrive in the order in which they were listed on the menu, so I expected the pasta to be served first, but the chicken came first and the pasta second. Maybe I'm too much of a traditionalist, but I would have preferred it the other way around. In short, it was a fun experience and we enjoyed the food and the ambience, but we felt it was overpriced and not entirely worth the hype.

Very lovely and romantic space with friendly and helpful staff who really cared about our experience. Out of the 6 dishes we tried, we were blown away by 2 of them, and there were 2 that were so oversalted that we couldn't finish the plate. It was somewhat disappointing because I had heard great things about this place. I would definitely give it another try though, but the price point would make me hesitate.

Definitely not special. The food was interesting but not particularly tasty, and not worth the $$. Note that they have a fireplace, which is nice when the temperature outside is cold. But our clothes all smelled heavily of smoke and required dry cleaning.
