Went here during lunch hour, 1:00 pm. I was super excited on experiencing this gem for my birthday. Unfortunately, it lacked in many areas, one being the service, second, the food itself, and third, how outdated the restaurant looked. The hostess was really friendly but just to get us seated took sometime. Seemed like there was only 1 server, 1 guy to pour water and that’s it, very slow service and not attentive. The menu needs some updating for sure. The food itself was mid and not memorable or tasty. I got the crab roll (pic attached) was nothing like it described, no roll or coleslaw. My mom got the seafood cioppino and she got a dry plate meaning a plate with only calamari and deep fried artichoke & shrimp, no sauce, no bread! The server also let us know no prime rib or beef was available as they were out of stock. I did however, enjoy the view, although due to some construction only a few 2 seater tables have the clear unobstructed view. In addition, even though I made a reservation and stated I was celebrating my bday; there was no acknowledgment nor treat. I did see other parties who had a treat with a candle brought out. Unfortunately this will be a one and done for me.

We didn’t ask for a certain area to be seated. It would have been nicer to be at the outside deck. We were seated in the main restaurant area which became very loud and hard to hear people speak. Service was alright, nothing special especially for the price you paid for your meal. Portions were a good size. You pay for the view!

Pacific’s Edge Restaurant – Carmel, CA I was hesitant to visit Pacific’s Edge due to the mixed reviews, but the stunning views in photos convinced me to give it a try. Unfortunately, while the view was indeed wonderful, the overall experience was quite disappointing due to the poor service and underwhelming food. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the staff lacked communication. There was no hostess at the stand for about 10 minutes, and although several servers and even the bartender walked by, no one acknowledged us or the other waiting parties. When the hostess finally arrived, she seated a party that had arrived later than us but had a reservation 15 minutes before ours. When I mentioned that we had arrived first, she simply stated that earlier reservations had priority, which felt poorly handled. Once seated, the service continued to be slow. It took an unusually long time for our server to greet us and offer drinks, and we weren’t even given a drink menu until we asked for one. The lack of attentiveness continued when it came to appetizers—I had to request one, and it took as long as our entrées to arrive. The calamari was disappointing, consisting mostly of sweet potato and what seemed like regular potato. A major frustration was that the kitchen apparently closes at 2 PM, yet we were given a 1:45 PM reservation. By the time our server took our order, it was well past that time, and we felt rushed to decide. The shrimp tacos were greasy, with cold tortillas, and the hamburger was just average—nothing memorable. While the restaurant undeniably offers breathtaking views, the lackluster service and mediocre food do not justify the cost. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return, as there are likely better dining options in the area that pair great views with quality food and service.

Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful view. Our server, Rosemary was awesome, as was the ambiance, food, and overall setting of the restaurant. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a romantic setting, or to celebrate a special occasion.

Breathtaking view, delicious food and wonderful staff. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a romantic dinner, or to celebrate a special occasion. We brought our three young children, who thankfully were quiet and well behaved during the dinner. The restaurant was very friendly with us and our children. That said, I would not recommend this restaurant for loud and/or rowdy children since the restaurant presents a more quiet atmosphere where you are meant to enjoy the food and view.
