   We arrived 25 minutes before the reservation but we offered to stay at the bar. Even so, the maitre d' insisted that we enter. The table was outside but under a roof so the heat was unbearable. Recommendation: either totally outside or inside. And the problem was that they forgot about us. And we only asked for two things to share, but they ignored us. Then when they realized they apologized many times but we felt completely ignored. As if we didn't exist. A very strange feeling. The brie was too melted, and the meat was tasty but with so much waiting we didn't finish it.

   The table was sticky, my lamb was chewy and fatty , the mushroom sauce runny and the Dutch carrots tasteless. Very disappointed

   The seafood buffet is superb. There is so much to choose from. Beautiful location outside with the setting sun on a tropical evening. Fully recommend, but stay hungry for the day to do justice to the wonderful food, and get there early enough to enjoy the changing light as the sun sets.

   We had a lovely outdoor table (under the verandah) overlooking the bay. Simply stunning. We chose to have the cocktails of the day which were complimentary S part of our package, then shared a mix of seafood starters, chosen with the assistance of our waiter Tam who made sound suggestions. The ambience was intimate and we were seated with other couples rather than families. The staff worked the areas well. Note we didn’t realise the Pacific is primarily a steak restaurant before booking. The meat meals served looked exceptional. We’ll try next visit. All in all a fabulous evening. Thanks to the staff.

   Zuerst wurde der Wein nicht gebracht, dann haben wir obwohl das Restaurant maximal halb voll war eine Stunde auf unser Essen gewartet. Das Steak war durchgebraten statt Medium und die Beilagen kamen 10 min nach den Hauptgängen. Für die Preise die aufgerufen werden unmöglich.

   The chief and I had dinner here. It’s a busy place with wide open spaces. Service was slow. We shared the beef rack of ribs which we liked (and was enough for both of us), I had the tomato salad too. I liked that and it was huge. Food was good but nothing special. We both had cocktails and ordered wine too. They forgot to bring the wine until we were almost finished and while they comped it we would have preferred to have it with dinner. Hayman island resort is the ONLY thing on the island so they have a monopoly and they know it so I guess they really don’t care too much because you have to eat somewhere…

   IHG Hayman Island Resort redeemed itself with the service provided at Pacific compared to our prior night's experience at Amici that was less than friendly.

   Whilst the menu reads well the quality of the dishes are average at best. For the islands premier restaurant it lacks in ambience and quality. The service is attentive and friendly. This restaurant could and should be so much better. There is obviously ‘no love in the meal prep’. Disappointing.
