Giorgios Bakatsias' inspiration behind his newest concept, Osteria Georgi, stems from a deep appreciation for his dear friend- the late, great George Tarantini, an Italian native and beloved soccer coach for NC state University, well-known for his love and respect for hospitality.

Osteria reflects the passion behind Italian cuisine and culture-

    Its rare that both my wife and I are “wowed” at a restaurant when dining for the first time, however, Osteria accomplished this and then some. Staff were so nice and the our bartender was amazing. As for the food, nothing short of fantastic. Pasta dishes were unique yet authentic and the salads were incredible. As an Italian from NJ, highly recommend Osteria as its our new “go to” Italian restaurant in the triangle.

    We went early on New Year’s Eve and it was a treat. They had a few different apps and a couple NYE type entrees as well as the regular menu. All was very good. Our service was excellent. We enjoyed the evening very much.

    Once again, the chef’s at OG did a phenomenal job! From the lasagna to the duck ragu and the scallop en carroza were all amazing! Never have we had a dish here that doesn’t dazzle the tastebuds! The only reason for less than 5 stars tonight was the fact that our server was so busy with what seemed like waiting on 15 tables, his attentiveness to our party of 7 was sub-par. And, we felt like we were “a bother” asking for more, wine, water or bread for the table. All that said, we will still be back, although be looking for a different server next time.

    Food was some of the best we have had outside of Italy. Very good value. But ... music was way too loud! I know I'm old but seriously that was an OSHA violation.

    We have eaten there 3 times and always very pleased with the food quality, taste and originality. Service is wonderful… However, on all 3 occasions the noise level was terrible. For some reason, they have music playing in the background which only adds to the chatter you’d expect in a deservedly fully restaurant. I have idea what purpose the music serves at dinner time.
