   First off the service was great from our server Chris. The food was just not worth the price. My son got the tomahawk steak and it was a bit overcooked and not worth the $165 price tag. The ambience was nice. Tables were a bit too close together and hard to maneuver through the restaurant. I will not return to Origen.

   We had an incredible dining experience at Origen in Gilbert! From the moment we sat down, our server set the tone—she was fantastic. Super knowledgeable about the menu and gave us some great recommendations that did not disappoint. The octopus was absolutely amazing—tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The steak was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. We also loved the guacamole topped with pork belly (a must-try!) and the mushrooms were out of this world. The house salsas were another standout, especially the dark spicy one—rich, bold, and addictive. To top it off, the wine list and cocktails were excellent, and the ambiance was just right—vibrant but still comfortable. Origen truly delivered on every level. Can’t wait to go back!

   It was my first time in & I was really impressed with the experience. Our server was Sidney & she was really helpful with navigating the menu & made great recommendations. I really appreciate the mocktail options. We will be adding Origen into our rotation.

   This is a really beautiful restaurant. The food is delicious. The service was great and my second drink took about 20 minutes to be brought to the table, not sure why. Over all it’s a must try

   I was so excited to try Origen but was disappointed. It has a great atmosphere with mediocre service and mediocre food. At the price point, both service and food should be amazing. Highly recommend Buck and Rider, Bourbon and Bones, Steak 44, or Mastros.

   We had a lovely time, The ambiance is nice, but everything else was just fine. The food was fine, the drinks were fine, the service was fine. I expected a lot more than fine from a $170 steak, $30 appetizers, and $20 sides. While we had fun, we won't be returning. Definitely not worth the price.

   Such an amazing experience! The food was a bit on the pricier side, however the quality matched so just be mindful of that when you are preparing for how much the budget.

   Amazing experience! My husband and I are always looking for a great places to eat that are close to home! And this one definitely gets five stars for that! I love the atmosphere! I think that this restaurant will be a go to restaurant in the coming years here in Gilbert thank you for bringing such a wonderful unique, date night, dining experience to Gilbert! We love it and we’ll be back!

    We are very disappointed in what we feel is a significant deterioration in quality of food not withstanding the fact that price points compete with top restaurants in the valley, ie Maestros, Steak 44, Ocean 44, etc. After having a wonderful experience with a large family group around Thanksgiving we returned with friends to introduce Origen on 3/8& again on 3/18. On 3/8 the Pichanha tacos were inedible, so tough you could not chew them, (sent them back) & the Octopus was tough&chewy. On 3/18 we returned again with other friends to “introduce Origen” and were very disappointed, Octopus again tough & chewy (sent back), Origen salad was drenched in Truffle salt, my wife didnt eat it and the barbacoa was greasy and tasteless. Needless to say we again apologized to friends for the disappointing meal. After being so initially excited by Origen in November we can’t in good conscience recommend Origen at this point.
