   We came for my husband’s birthday on recommendation of a friend. We love Le Diplomate and were excited to check it out. I don’t think our waitress spoke English well. She couldn’t really make recommendations. She forgot to put in my entree and never came back. Everyone else at our table had finished their meals. I notified the hostess and the manager came over and brought soup and cake which was very nice, but I honestly just wanted the meal I ordered. It never arrived so we paid the bill and left. Everything we ate was delicious. Hopefully, they can work out the kinks on service.

   A welcome addition to the dining options in Bethesda. It has a downtown vibe, was a 7 min drive and easy parking. All 3 of those things make it win even before taking a bite or a sip. Service was very good. It's always a plus for me when the server knows the menu and has suggestions. Marie was spot on with all of her recommendations. We enjoyed our drinks and the food was DELICIOUS! Beautiful plating! The menu options are elevated without being pretentious. We ordered the filet special and the sea bass. The tuna tar tar was excellent as well. The head chef warmly greeted us after our meal. Looking forward to returning to try the new things he has planned.

   We love the New Bethesda Restaurant On St Elmo but Michael Romeo, its a great looking restaurant, food is delicious and the atmosphere is awesome, I highly reccomend it for a wonderful night out

   The food was delicious and the ambiance was uplifting. The live music was a bit loud for trying to have conversations but overall it was a great night!

   The restaurant itself is well decorated, good music, classy establishment, overall good vibes. The service was great, the chef came out to interact with the guests. We had the artichoke and lump crab as an app-delicious. I was happy with my meal, lobster bisque, however, my partner ordered the braised lamb- the lamb portion was kids menu sized. It was awkward that he finished his meal 15 minutes before me, he left hungry unfortunately. We would go back perhaps for a drink or live music, but not for a meal, way overpriced for a very tiny piece of lamb and little flavor.

   Overall we had a fantastic experience. The noise level was great - please note we were not there during a show. The sea bass and steak entrees were delicious.

   We went on a Saturday at 6:15. We were pleasantly surprised to find out there was a live show starting at 7. The restaurant became packed by that time. Our server Renzo was excellent. We ordered the Burrata salad, the arugula pear salad, the Chilean sea bass and the lamb entree. All were excellent with perfect seasoning. There were managers walking the floor to be sure all was going well. It seems like a tightly run ship. We will definitely return on our next trip to Bethesda.
