Omakase Room is being led by Chef Mitsunori Isoda, who was most recently Executive Chef at Jewel Bako, where he earned a Michelin star.
The dining experience at Omakase Room by Mitsu is built around a relationship of trust and spontaneity between the Chef and each diner. Before crafting his omakase, Chef Mitsu welcomes each guest with a brief conversation about their preferences and curiosities while he carefully perceives their inner mood and desires. He will embrace guests' presence, greeting them with sincere eye contact while handing them a freshly prepared hand-roll to begin the meal.
Chef Mitsu's curated omakase offerings change often, highlighting a diversity of seasons, ingredients, preparations, and the range of textures. His 14-piece omakase tasting menu is $220 per person plus tax.

This was good! Some pieces better than others. Was expecting a little more from the chef conversation wise. A lot of the pieces were prepped before we even arrived. Usually this is done right in front of you. The flavor was simple yet fresh. I would have liked just a little more flavor and creativity.

Sushi as it is meant to be! Outstanding quality, flavor and tenderness, prepared by a master sushi chef! The best I have had in the city! Definitely will be back!

When you eat Omakasa, you get what you pay for. Sushi chef on point and the way he passed out the food over almost 2 hours was just perfect.

Sushi perfection! Each element is presented in perfect fashion and the taste was excellent. But of a weird “hushed” vibe due to only having a 10 person limit per sitting. We may have just gotten unlucky with the boring people. Would definitely go back.

The service was excellent and the sushi was good, however I found the pieces of fish small, the rice somewhat bland and the preparations over all a little uninteresting. That said, the quality of the fish was fantastic and the chef's work in cutting and serving the fish was exquisite. Overall a good meal but there are many other places on NYC I'd rather go for an omakase.

An hour and a half allotted for a $150 pp omakase is too short. Food was excellent but we felt rushed
