The grouper on lobster risotto was outstanding. Fine dining with a casual feel. Establishment and staff are first class.

Each of us (4) had a different meal and each meal was amazing. Our service was excellent. Thank you Hannah. We got to the restaurant just before the sunset. It was absolutely beautiful. This was our second time dining here and we would absolutely dine here again. ❤️🥂

Wow! If you are looking for an elevated dining experience in Sanibel/Captiva, this is the spot! We had great service and Hannah was incredibly knowledgeable in navigating some dietary restrictions. Upon hearing that I am gluten free, she immediately put in an order of gluten free bread for the table. We enjoyed the shrimp and lobster cocktail before our main courses. I got the (gluten free) blackened snapper, but the watermelon cucumber salad side completely stole the show. The grouper (atop lobster risotto) also looked and smelled incredible! We finished our meal with a classic creme brûlée. We also enjoyed the Tween Waters holiday light display! All in all, a 5⭐️ meal.

The location is magnificent, but the staff is extremely unfocused and it appears that they have no bus people. We arrived at our appointments time but then had to wait 45 mins to get to our table and the dining area was basically vacant. The waiter was very good and the food was fair but expensive - not a good value for the dollar. Needs an outside expert to come in and get things put in order- something is just not right from an operational point of view.

We had a fantastic experience at the Old Captiva House. The food was spectacular, as was the service. What amazed us most is that they brought out food for 8 of us and it was all beautifully prepared and nice and warm. The waiter was excellent, the restaurant clean and the resort Casual dress code made it even the nicer when looking around. I can't wait to go back.

We attended the Thanksgiving dinner buffet for $80 per person which did not include any drinks. The meal was in no way worth anything close to $80, $45 would have even been a stretch. We were only able to get a reservation at 8 and lots of items had clearly been sitting for hours and were dried out. The turkey was inedible, very gamey and low quality. I’m sure they are aware because of the limited dining options on the island they can charge whatever they want but this was unconscionable. I understand a limited menu for Thanksgiving but items need to be freshly prepared and better quality if you are charging premium prices. The server was very nice and attentive which was the only saving grace to this disaster of a meal.

Needed sauce for the crab claws. Needed a minuet sauce for the oysters.
