Service was a little off … wine was good and the food was good but it seemed they just weren’t prepared for the $1 oyster HH so there was a lot of time in between dishes. We ordered a few dozen oysters and we were told by our server she wasn’t going to put it in bc the kitchen was overwhelmed with oyster orders… but like that’s weird right? Anyway, it was fine but prob won’t do it again.

We ALWAYS love our dinners here. They’ve changed the format to a smaller, shared plates menu but still had a selection with variety and creativity. Favorites were the mushroom & leeks with hazelnuts and brown butter, steak diane, and magically textured fries. Notably, it’s one of the few places in the city (and other cities for that matter) where I can always find a delicious gluten free/dairy free dessert option on the menu!

Overall, was a good experience. Food was ok. The shrimp ceviche was a bit big to eat raw, flavor was good.

We just tried the new menu at OK Omens. It’s long been one of our favorite restaurants and after last night, it will remain one of our top choices. The new menu is different in style and in flavors, with a couple of holdovers. The wine choices are still unique and described so poetically. We were very happy with our choices and look forward to trying some of the other new dishes on our next visit.

OK Omens has a new chef...new menu and new ideas. The new menu is interesting, and the choices limited (tapas size for sharing) but all tasted great...except the "raw kelp cured trout" which was a real disappointment. I found it tasteless and mushy. Given that there were fresh horseradish slices on top, one would think there would be a little kick. If it wasn't listed, I wouldn't have known there was horseradish on it. Service was great and timely. Our server clearly paid attention to us and made the experience all the better. Lose the cured trout.

Every dish was a delight! The green salad (Torito salad) is particularly perfect.
