   This was our second time dining at Oak & Reel we dined over a year ago so we were excited to return! Pros: Our Server Ashley was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu she took her time, there were a few selections that changed on the menu since our last visit and that happens with menus. Our table busser was even great and I tipped him on my way out the door. Our salads were divine, so fresh and flavorful! My Fiancé loved his fish dish and sweet potato desert! My spritzer nonalcoholic beverage was refreshing! I absolutely loved the Olive Oil Cake! Cons: It’s important to note that we fine dine weekly for date night and lately we’ve been eating at the Open Table Icon Restaurants. My meat selection was the dry aged ribeye steak, I ordered it medium well. Unfortunately, it arrived to the table more well done than I prefer. I alerted Ashley and she said that to make another would take some time ( if I wanted another one) and I asked what would be faster (because we were nearing the end of our dining experience) she graciously suggested the pan seared scallops ( note they were tasty when they promptly arrived). As soon as Ashley left, a woman ( who name luckily or unfortunately escapes me) approached our table and introduced herself as “ The General Manager” and she went directly to addressing steak temperature being correct by explaining that they took the steak into the back and “in the light it’s definitely more pink than I probably can see due to the restaurant lighting”. She then proceeded to ask if I would like to come back to the kitchen to see it. At this very moment, I knew that the “The General” did not handle this situation properly. I was appalled to say the least. I’m not a culinary expert, but I’m definitely a customer service “expert” considering that I’ve trained thousands of casino and hotel employees in a customer service training program…and this was not championing a situation it was more like harassment of a guest.    It was delicious as usual got the seafood pasta it was amazing. Just wish they did a bigger pour. Our drinks were tiny for the price

   Third time there but it had been over a year. Seated at the front of the restaurant and I feel it changes the dining experience. A little less warm. Overall the service was very good. Food came out promptly, almost too fast, which gave the impression it’s not being made order which is fine but not every dish was hot. Ordered two pasta dishes to share with four people but the gnocchi was about a third of the portion of the squid ink pasta and less than warm. Were they running low? Dover sole was excellent and the ribeye had great flavor but again it was more on the warm side. 4 people, 2 glasses of wine, 4 cocktails, 2 apps, 2 pastas and 2 entrees shared as well as 2 desserts. Including tip (20%) well over 500 dollars. Dining out is super expensive but certainly can’t rate this as a “value”. May go back again but no rush

   Table was ready on time, service was awesome, waitress made excellent recommendations. Food was delicious, we ordered several appetizers instead of entrees and shared so we could sample more of the delicious menu.

   The service from the bar to the table wait staff was excellent. The food was outstanding from the first course through to desert.

   The octopus appetizer was excellent. Great flavors. We ordered 2 pastas, squid pasta and seafood pasta, which were again excellent flavors. And dessert was great. It is a nice venue. However, it can get loud.
