   Neat place , shrimp scampi was over cooked a little bit toast should be buttered Short rib was good some of the vegetables were so firm we couldn’t cut them with the butter knives Should have salt and pepper in the table Staff was working and you could tell not to many smiles Probably architectural design created loud atmosphere

   I hosted a party of 5 today for lunch. 2 of the meals were not edible. They were both sandwiches - one was a caprese and the other meatball. The problem was the aioli on the sandwiches was EXTREMELY hot/spicy and couldn't be eaten. The diner who ordered the caprese got a replacement meatball sandwich but it too had the very spicy aioli. The server said the aioli should not be spicy. The server was very good and helpful. 2 of us ordered the pizzas and the crust was tough on both pizzas. I've eaten here before and it has been good. I don't know what happened today. But not up to par.

   We got there for a 9pm birthday celebration for our 15 year old. We always love this place. It wasn’t as busy as usual - but there was a slight mix up and somehow our foot ticket got trashed so it took a while to get our food. The manager came out to apologize and comped our appetizers. Things happen, we were not mad. In fact, it was impressive service that they recognized it and came to us. Thank you!

   I have had two meals at North Italia in Peoria. In March, our appetizer and lunch were great and we fell in love with the zucco chips that were so light and greaseless- wonderful. We returned for dinner on 4/16/25 with our friends. I bragged about the zucco chips and were very disappointed; greasy and stuck together with some not even fried to crispness. Our entrees were ok but the temperature of the food was not hot. We had to ask if we could have some bread to go with the pasta dishes. Was not offered or just brought to the table. The noise level inside was moderate, somewhat hard to hear over the music. Wait staff was attentive. Overall, disappointed in the experience.
