The food and service at Nobu can’t be beat. Every dish, spot on perfect. Our server & team were phenomenal. He curated our food selections & really nailed it. Food portions are small. Works for me but gets expensive trying to satiate a young guy. I’d love to see the “tacos” be sized for at least two bites. We ate in the atrium area at Nobu Palo Alto. It is probably lovely in the summer when you can see the garden. On a chilly, rainy November night, it felt a bit like being in the overflow area. Could perhaps be made more inviting with a little attention.

It’s very interesting that I reserved omakase to celebrate a birthday and someone reached out to ask for the name of birthday person to inform me that they will write Happy Birthday XXX. However, when I arrived- they didn’t know that I reserved omakase and not only that, They didn’t write the name.. Then why bother making distinction when making reservation for omakase vs standard seating and why bother messaging the customer for the name? Overall, due to the message- I was expecting something little special for the birthday girl but, turned out nothing special.

Upscale dining with dreamy background music. A pleasure to dine at. Tapas style family dining, Japanese fare.. our guests enjoyed. Portions.. petite. Expect higher than average pricing. Place was a bit chilly, indoor heating would have been nice, but expected for late November. Didn't expect to eat with my coat on tho.

Gil, our server was absolutely amazing!! It was my friends and I’s first time at any Nobu Restaurant and he offered amazing dish recommendations for us. Each dish was beautifully curated, we enjoyed the New Style Sashimi as well as the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice and the Bento Box dessert assortment! Thank you to the host for asking if we needed blankets before seating us since we were close to the door! Amazing hospitality, will return for future occasions!

Food is great. But when the first from the hostess ate “you have a time limit on your dining tonight” when the restaurant was only fifty percent full kind of dampens the experience.
