Luxury takes root in the heart of Austin at Nido, bringing the charm of the area together with the culinary techniques of coastal Europe, all perched above Lady Bird Lake and the energetic cityscape.

Nido is located on the rooftop of The Loren at Lady Bird Lake - recently named by Conde Nast Traveller and Travel & Leisure Magazine as "one of the hottest hotel openings in the world." Nido nods to the surrounding and native Hill Country, giving diners a one-of-a-kind respite to experience worldly-travel through food. Nido’s selection of carefully crafted, seasonal menus are internationally-inspired with a focus on classical technique.

Reservations are available for inside the dining room and the dining tables in the bar. Lounge seating is available on a walk in basis in the bar and on the terrace for drinks and snacks.

The food was served cold. Although the restaurant was not crowded at all but the service was extremely slow. All in all the fois gras was awful. The salad and the duck was okish. However my expectations was lot more. The desert was not good at all u can find better choices at whole foods.

Moving from New York to Austin 2 years ago, Nido is five stars in comparison to any of our long time favorites in Manhattan. Fantastic food, atmosphere, and great people. Trenton is BY FAR one of our favorite servers in Austin. Can’t recommend enough.

Nidi has a beuatiful view but the food is pricey and the menu is short. Food was good but I wouldn't return for the food, it's a great date night spot though.

Went to Nido after visiting the spa below. Sat inside with an incredible river view. We were just there for a light lunch. I had an iced vanilla latte which was great and split the club sandwich. The sandwich was a decent size and the fries were great. Good but nothing spectacular or standout for a $25 sandwich. Service was mid for it being fairly dead inside our waiter wasn’t very attentive. But overall you can’t beat the views here
