New World Home Cooking in Saugerties is quite simply a fun place to go, especially when your family is bickering about which cuisine to choose. The global cuisine menu ensures that nobody leaves hungry. The “home cooking” part of New World Home Cooking is a bit of a misnomer, however, as many of the menu items are things you would most likely never take the time to make at home – and that is a beautiful thing! Getting back to that global thing, the Italian lover will enjoy the Sicilian-style eggplant balls. The Thai enthusiast will enjoy the Thai BBQ salmon. Add on Jamaican jerk chicken, Vietnamese salad, Cuban sloppy joe and Saigon Street-style calamari and the world’s cuisine is well covered. Even the vegetarian will love the 3-course meatless Monday prix fixe menu. New World Home Cooking – when you just can’t agree on where to go!

We found the service to be sub par. The ambience is casual but the prices aren’t. The food was average. This place was nothing special. My Thai salmon dish was sloppy with too many unappealing flavors.

This was our second time at New World in Saugerties. From the moment we stepped in the door we felt at home. The food is amazing, and we left feeling satisfied and planning our next trip to New World. I personally have a lot of digestive issues, which cause me a lot of stress and anxiety when going out to eat. New World is very accommodating, and have delicious choices that fit into my dietary restrictions, and they are TASTY! Thank you for all you do, for your dedication, and for making a great night for us. We plan to have New World cater our wedding this upcoming year, and can't wait for our family and friends to experience the joy we get from eating such fabulous food!

Our party of 4 ordered both off the menu and the buffet. The food was very good. Our waiter, Kieran, was exceptional. He was very attentive, but not in our face. He was so polite and friendly. I cannot remember when the last time was that we went out to eat where the service was so good. I specifically asked him his name before we left so I could give him a good review. (He looked a little nervous like he thought he did something wrong). The only negative thing that should be mentioned was the blaring speaker that was within a few feet of our table. We had a hard time talking to each other. They should invest in speakers in the ceiling. We would have asked for a different table but the restaurant was packed. Besides that, I would highly recomment New World Home Cooking.

We were visiting from New York City on Thanksgiving night, and we couldn't have picked a better place to go for dinner. I'm really glad I made a reservation because the place was PACKED with lots of happy families and couple enjoying Thanksgiving dinner. The food was beyond delicious, and the service was great. We're probably going to make it a Thanksgiving tradition from now on.

Great buffet for Thanksgiving with endless options, it seemed. I felt a lot of the food was spicy, which may not be to everyone's liking. they should hold back on that.

We went for the Thanksgiving buffet but sadly the food was cold and they ran out of items. We had heard such great things but unfortunately we left disappointed.

Dined here for Thanksgiving and the following evening had a wedding function here. Both were superb with a fantastic staff, great food and drinks. Thanks to Ric and Liz as well as their wonderful staff!!!

Ric and staff give perfect dining experience. Shiloh, our server, was so what you want. Not too present but always available. The food, well it’s just the best. Sourced responsibly, excellently prepared and beautifully presented.
