   NYE 2024 at Nettuno was a perfect choice to ring in the new year! The ambiance was both artful and sophisticated, featuring modern, plush seating, intimate warm lighting, contemporary wall art, and understated fine tableware that set a refined tone for the evening. Our experience was elevated by Shelly Mahoney, whose collegial, professional, and attentive service added a personal touch to the evening. The menu, authentically Italian, offered a variety of appealing dishes, all expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. Highlights included: 1.Lemon-herbed ricotta-filled zucchini flowers, where the bright citrus notes set them apart. 2.Razor-thin beef carpaccio paired with arugula, truffle aioli, pine nuts, and Parmesan, with the pine nuts adding a delightful crunch. 3.Delicately prepared salmon served with Borlotti beans, kale, and a saffron-infused stew. 4.House-crafted tagliatelle in a rich Bolognese sauce. 5.Stuffed porchetta—a pork belly lover’s dream! 6.Pillow-soft ricotta gnudi accompanied by asparagus, sunchoke, and black truffle. For dessert, we indulged in two incredible options: 1.Chef Giuseppe’s NYE special “BONET,” an Italian chocolate custard infused with rum and cookie crumbs (new favorite for me!). 2.A classic panna cotta topped with fresh berries, simple yet divine. Nettuno delivered a memorable and celebratory meal, making it the ideal setting to share with dear friends as we welcomed the new year!

   Loved everything about our experience at Nettuno. The food was amazing. Our server, Emma, was phenomenal. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. I wish I got the name of the incredibly knowledgeable and kind gentleman who gave us a tour. Can't wait to go back.

   Greeting at the front door is always done, which puts you into the lobby and Nettuno. Service was great, things came on time, selections and the taste of the food was superb. Seeing Chef again was the highlight. No disappointments.

   My husband and I shared dishes so we could try more. Everything was amazing and priced for ingredients, preparation, and quality. Portions are fair but not large. We are already making reservations to go back in January with friends.

   Beautiful decor in an open space. Quite an upgrade to the Long Beach restaurant scene. Ordered the salmon with kale and found it to be perfectly cooked and seasoned. Friends had pasta and said they were impressed with the texture and quality. Tiramisu was smooth and not overly sweet. Server was personable and knowledgeable, although it was difficult to get anyone’s attention once the food was served. We went without a couple of requests because nobody looked our way for a period of time. I’m sure this due to a recent opening.

   We popped into the cool, moody lounge 'Alter Ego' before heading to Nettuno. The Cali Lemondrop and Sunburnt cocktails provided a bright, citrusy start to our evening. Once in Nettuno's dining room, we enjoyed the bone marrow and focaccia appetizer. It provided a good first impression. However, we were less enamored with our pasta mains (Boar Ragu (special), Bolognese, and Lobster Risotto (special)). None of these dishes had the presentation and flavor we expected from this respected Italian chef. It was a welcome surprise that our waitress (Shelly) acknowledged and celebrated my birthday with either a glass of sparkling wine or a complimentary dessert of my choice. I was impressed by their generosity given few restaurants honor the special day of a guest choosing to dine with them on his/her birthday. I appreciated this thoughtful gesture and enjoyed sharing my tiramisu with my dinner companions. The service and atmosphere were great. Overall, our experience was quite good. While the pasta dishes didn't meet our overall expectations, we intend to give Nettuno another try.

    All foods were below average as I expected. Very disappointed overall, i don’t want to believe this is part of Fairmont hotel.
