As a long time M&T fan, I was disappointed in the overall experience. By our 7:30 reservation, half of the selections were no longer available. I settled for Dan Dan Noodles (simply the regular collard greens over noodles), blistered green beans, and General Tso’s Chicken (cold and bland). My sister had the normally fantastic Reuben made with turkey which looked like chicken salad on burnt bread. Total disaster. The drinks as usual were spot on. Fortunately as a lifelong diner at M&Ts, this won’t impact my willingness to keep going here, however I may rethink going when there is a special limited menu. Sorry guys.

This was our first time to Muss & Turner's and it was very good. Our server was great and very attentive. For a starter I had the beef vegetable soup. It was great. It was loaded with beef and vegetables and very hearty. My wife had a salad with beets and she said it was very good. She also had the miso honey brussel sprouts with apples. The combination was terrific. I wish I had the recipe so I could make it at home. We would definitely dine her again.

We had come for a specific sandwich, not realizing that only brunch is served on the weekends. What we did choose was very good. Our server this visit was not up to par. She showed no enthusiasm or appreciation for us coming in and was really slow. She also didn’t seem well-versed in how things were prepared. We eat here only a few times per year. The one constant is great food. Service is variable. Pricing is a little high for what the food is.

Dill pickles were fresh, very tasty, and crunchy. Fries were delicious with a nice potato taste. Burgers were ordered medium well, but this time, burgers were overcooked with no juice remaining in the meat which had a grainy texture. The texture of the top bun was off. I cannot describe it well, but it laid on my palate and did not really meld with the sandwich. We have eaten these burgers many times, but this time these burgers really tasted different and were simply dry and not delicious. The server was pleasant and attentive. She checked on us many times throughout our meal. We ordered two cookies to go, the evil cookie and the oatmeal cookie. The evil cookie was delicious in the past, but not this time. It tasted burnt and left an unpleasant aftertaste that also laid on my palate. Hubby said the oatmeal cookie was hard, so I heated it in the microwave to soften it. He loved the oatmeal cookie and said it was very good. It took entirely too long for us to receive our to-go cookies. At one point, I asked if we were waiting on them to cook more cookies.

We are regulars of Muss & Turner's. My husband and I either dine-in or order carry-out at least once a month. But this review in particular is based on our most recent visit for their annual Santa Brunch. This is our third year going with friends and we LOVE it. The atmosphere is a little more energetic than usual, which would be expected what with Santa being there and all. We got to introduce our 1 year old to Santa for the first time! Both he and the photographer were so nice, especially considering my daughter was a bit wary of the big guy. Then on to the buffet- everything was delicious! Our server was so pleasant. 10/10 would recommend. We look forward to this every year!

12/14/24 - The catfish in the fried catfish grits was disgusting. Instantly lost appetite. Please take it off the menu and go back to the really fantastic shrimp and grits.
