   This was one of the worst possible experience ever. Food: absolutely horrible! We had the YYCEXP menu and 1st course (duck pancake) was super salty, second course (Wagyu burger) overdone, dry, tasteless the fries were old and cold, 3rd course (desert) never made it to the table on time. Service: we were not seat on the main area but the bar, despite making a reso. Took them too a good 10-15 min to even get water, the good came really late, and we were so late we had to leave without having desert. The prices on the wine menu and our bill were different by a few dollar like $16 vs $12 and the kind didn’t match the receipt; too late to even say anything cause we were running late to our show. Overall one of the worst experiences ever, for sure will not go back or recommend going there. Worst than bar food. Extremely disappointed.

   Murrietas never disappoints. I had forgot how much I liked this restaurant. From the moment we were greeted by the hostess to her wishing us a good evening as we were leaving, we were treated to very professional service and had a wonderful dining experience. Thank you Callan! If Calgary had a Michelin star rating, Murrietta’s would qualify.

   Love the open atrium. Lots of natural light. The next best space to being outside.

   We went for the yycexp menu and I dont think we would come back. The duck pancake was very mushy and the flavors were very lack luster. The cod was delicious, but the parsnips was over charred and some pieces were extremely bitter. The dessert was just ok. It was hard to get a perfect bite and when it wasn't all eaten together the banana toffee taste didn't shine through. Service was on the slow side, we had to wait a long time for our dessert to be cleared and had to wave someone down to get our bill and the restaurant wasn't even busy and now I see why.

   This is a fantastic restaurant. Every dish from starters through dessert was carefully prepared and beautifully plated. Main dining room was uniquely decorated and full of natural light via a glass ceiling. Would absolutely return should a travel to Calgary again!

   We went for Happy Hour and ordered our selections. The waitress asked if we wanted our pizza slightly later. All around 5:30. We received our drinks and appetizers. The pizza arrived 45 minutes later. OK. The waitress indicated the pizza oven was glitchy and that was why it took so long. But when we got our bill, it was charged at full price. Apparently the order was placed after HH ended even though we had ordered 45 minutes earlier. I had already paid the bill and the server said the manager could not refund. I finally got some cash back but it certainly wasn’t a seamless fix on the restaurants part.
