   Mulas changed evening menu to a tapas and paella menu mostly and these are great  snacks me have twists on the classic tapas to include green chili the paella also has a twist with pasta for the del. Mar try the shrimp ceviche with an avocado and cucumber base very light. To start

   We arrived with reservations and experienced a very rude and abrupt hostess while being seated. We ordered an appetizer and at the request of the waitress, we placed our dinner order. I specifically asked the waitress to delay the entrees until we had time to enjoy the appetizer which did not happen. The entrees arrived half way through the appetizer and were cold by the time we got to them. There was no attempt by the staff to correct this problem.

   A beautiful dining experience and excellent food! Would definitely recommend for a date night, has a nice menu with lots of options. We will be back!

   My husband and I stopped in for a quick lunch on a Saturday afternoon and the atmosphere was pleasant! We were served promptly and the service was very good, however, the salad I ordered was missing one of the components. We would definitely give it another shot for dinner in the future.

   I had valentines reservations for 8pm when I arrived none of the hosts, servers, or management came to check us in. There was a line of customers who had reservations that were also being ignored. It wasn't until I brought up the poor service to the bartenders, that we and the other groups were acknowledged. The 7:00pm reservations didn't get seated until 8. Even though tables were cleaned and open. The food was decent. Not worth the amount paid. Ended up leaving early and going elsewhere. I recommend management look into their staffs training. I will say our server was very nice and checked on us frequently. I believe the problem resides with management.

   We went there on Valentine’s. It was chaos. We checked in and said we had a reservation, they didn’t ask who we were or confirm to update the list. There was no list. We finally placed our drink order after about 30 minutes. Our poor waitress was gone for huge chunks of time also tending bar. She did great. However, there were literally parties surrounding us who did not get anything beyond water (they had not been able to place a drink order, even) for over 45 minutes. People were walking out. People were frustrated. The food was great, but it wasn’t worth the rest of the experience. I assumed this was just because of the holiday, but on the way out we heard someone waiting to said this is just their normal. This place desperately needs some sort of structure for the staff. I even think there were enough wait staff, but there didn’t seem to be any assignments. Everyone was running around, and no one was stepping up to dole out assignments etc.

   Service was absolutely terrible. We were seated 20 minutes before a server came to our table. Was roughly an hour to get our food. When we did receive our food it was cold. The paella was way too salty we couldn’t eat it. The overall experience was terrible. If it wasn’t Valentine’s Day we would’ve walked out before anyone came to our table.

   In the beginning, they had a problem finding our reservation. Once we were seated, things proceeded smoothly. The food was outstanding. My wife had seafood over linguini, which she said was divine. I had the salmon, which was the best I've had in the greater Albuquerque area. We took desserts home with us (chocolate cake and tres leches cake). Both were quite good, but not worth $14.00 each. When we were ready to leave, we were informed that the back exit had been blocked, and we would need to leave via the front door. I am on oxygen when I'm walking more than a very short distance, and since the distance from the parking lot in the back (where I parked) into the restaurant is a very short distance, I did not bring my portable oxygen with me. Going out the front and walking around the building is not a short distance for me, it ended with me arriving at my car out of breath with an elevated heart rate - not my idea of the perfect ending to Valentine's Day dinner. They should have advised us once we arrived via the back door that they were going to close it off, and I could have moved my car to the front. Additionally, I think to block off one of the exits is a fire safety hazard.

   Good service and quiet atmosphere. Dimly lit so difficult to read menu without placing under table light. Food was good, but overpriced. That will influence our decision of frequency to return. We were surprised to see an add on fee because we were using our credit card to pay.

    This was our first meal at Mulas. We have been to Debajo numerous times. Leslie, our server was wonderful and allowed us to taste four different wines on the menu before ordering. The food was fantastic and delicious. The high ceilings make it loud and the restaurant was not fully occupied. That was the only drawback. We can’t wait to go back for more!
