An extremely disappointing Christmas "fancy pants" afternoon tea. The food itself was fine, as was the service - lovely staff. The experience itself was not what one would expect from afternoon tea. The main problem is the location/setting where it is held. It was in the open bar/grill to the right as you walk into the hotel. There was no festive vibe to it at all apart from a few decorations. To the right of us we had people eating fish and chips and other random orders from the A La carte menu, then there were others having business meetings. Having been to afternoon tea in many hotels in Dublin it is usually held in a dedicated room/area. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't return.

Fantastic experience at the restaurant with Rory and at the bar with Dave and Jawsin. Also one of the best pieces of steak I have potentially ever had.

The food is exceptional but pricey, The cocktails were very poor in selection and taste. For a 2 course meal we were over €300 which was a bit much to be honest. The meal was really good.

We were a party of three and the food ,ambiance, and friendly and efficient service was top notch. We were able to hear each other speak and our table was a reasonable distance from other tables. The cheese board for one was particularly generous in comparison to others I have sampled recently.

The deserts seemed to be a mixture of fresh made and defrosted from frozen. The sandwiches were startchy and bland. The scones were delicious. The tea selection was basic at best. I couldn't believe that this was afternoon tea in a 5 star hotel. It seemed like a 3 star hotel afternoon tea at best. My wife and I have had afternoon tea in many 5 star hotels, adare manor is also a 5 star hotel with afternoon tea and it's miles and miles ahead in quality and varied and they offer seconds and thirds free of charge. I wouldn't have afternoon tea again in Morrison's even if it was for free.

Food was fantastic and plenty of it. Was disappointed with the info given by the colleague. Have done afternoon tea lots of times in different places and always had unlimited tea/coffee. The server never advised of what we had and didn’t offer tea / coffee at any time. I did ask the question and the reply I got was “what is it you want” which I found a bit rude. I was only asking the question. The atmosphere etc was lovely but let down by the server.

I wish you a most enjoyable day, Kind Regards, Rory Rooney Hotel Manager rrooney@morrisonhotel.ie

We recently had our annual Christmas dinner at the Morrison Grill. The service was impeccable from start to finish. Our server was friendly and accommodating, ensuring every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. Food was absolutely delicious, especially duck and beef burger prepared on their special Jasper grill. We really enjoyed the elegant atmosphere, beautiful decorations, sophisticated design of the restaurant. Will definitely come back soon!

Nice evening, particularly helpful and pleasant staff. All servers excellent, Cooper was particularly helpful to us. Maitre D was very helpful. Good food, pleasant wine. Well paced service. Quite busy but not cramped or intrusive. For us a good experience for a hotel restaurant.
