   We made reservations for my daughter’s 16th with her 3 besties. She had an awesome time and came back gushing about the dumplings. Thank you.

   MOFU is one of our go-to spots in Raleigh. We've brought several out of town friends there as well. The food is consistently delicious... but they recently updated their menu. We ordered the Braised Cumin Lamb as well as the soft shells. Soft shells were huge! A bit heavy handed on the batter, but really tasty dish. The menu doesn't say, but it is a lamb SHANK. No worries there, we love lamb in every way! Wow, such fantastic flavor!! However, lamb shanks should be tender, almost falling off the bone, and we ended up having a hard time sawing the meat off the bone — it was very chewy and needed at least another hour to cook. There also was no sign of scallion in the dish. My husband and I kindly told our server about the tough meat, because we want MOFU to continue doing well! She was very sweet, but it seemed that after she told the cook/chef, she wasn't as friendly, and never offered anything to compensate for it. A good restaurant will train servers to at least tell the manager, so they can come by and offer their apologies. We got nothing. If they had at least done that, I would have given them my normal 5 stars. I hope they take notice because their food and service normally rocks!

   The pork and chive and chicken dumplings were very good. Firm outside skin, plentiful fillings. The chicken dumplings were steamed and served in a soy-based sauce. The bucket of fried chicken was excellent as were the Brussels sprouts. Cauliflower was just okay. Good cocktail menu.

   The wings and the mac & cheese are probably the best shareable food items. Their dumplings are always good. Service super nice and attentive.

   Always love the food here and servers are very friendly. Food comes out of the kitchen really quickly. Get the crispy Brussel sprouts!

   We had the mofu wings, chicken and ginger dumplings, Brussels, and the pork belly bowl. The wings were super crunchy and the dumplings were+ sauce were good. The small plates portions (beyond the dumplings) felt pretty generous for being “small”. All that being said, taste-wise, everything was good but not spectacular. Our waitress was friendly and helpful! (but covering a lot of tables on a Saturday night)
