Nestled in the historic City Market neighborhood of downtown Raleigh, MOFU Shoppe brings you the flavors of Asia with the comfort of southern hospitality. Our dishes are inspired by our identity as Taiwanese Americans who grew up in the South around a multitude of diverse food cultures. Born out of the Food Network award winning Pho Nomenal Dumpling Truck, we have come a long way and can't wait to see you in soon.

            Best dumplings in town! We LOVE this spot for a fun/cozy date night. Also a great spot to bring people in larger groups, they have seating that accommodates both large and small parties. The white pepper chicken and the pork belly bao are must orders. As always, we’ll be back!

            Had a great dinner. Especially loved the dumplings. Also had the chicken bucket which was cooked perfectly. Great location near the Lincoln Thester.

            Unfortunately, I was disappointed by our visit to Mofu Shoppe. I had been wanting to check it out for quite a while – particularly because they offer dumplings with Impossible Meat in them, offering me an option as a vegetarian that is not available at most dumpling shops. Ultimately, though, I was not impressed by my food, and the same was true for my dining companions. The one exception that everyone raved about were the Beef Bulgogi Dumplings - which I didn’t taste – but the cauliflower appetizer was flavorful but too oily, and my son ordered a rice bowl with tofu that had no sauce at all so was white rice, some vegetables, and fried tofu. Very odd. He had to ask for any kind of sauce to put on it. And my husband did not love the barbecue shrimp and grits – way too much sauce on it, ironically, and it was too sweet. And sadly, the Impossible Meat dumplings had almost no flavor – I was so sad.

            Food was fantastic as always, especially the kimchi tots! Service was great- the hostess even called me after I left to let me know they found my bracelet that had fallen off. My only disappointment was that they had taken my favorite warm cocktail off the menu from the previous year. Overall, though, a great experience!
