   I thought staff management was very poor. The staff were pleasant and polite but lacking leadership. Staff numbers appeared adequate however there was a continual problem suppling drinks to the table, considering there was no requirement for them to take food orders or delivery to tables this I thought was their primary task.

   The experience was quite ordinary. The food served was the usual, it was only the dessert collection that was impressive. And quite expensive too as compared to the experience that we got. I can’t help but compare everything to where we had our Christmas Eve lunch (Cafe Sydney). What we spent here ($800+) was almost the same as what we spent over there ($800+) but there were 6 of us over there as compared to the 2 of us here. I was expecting some sort of a ‘view’ but there was no view, just the white wall next to me. Four Seasons should capitalise on their location, for a start. Such a stunning view in Cafe Sydney! As I looked around, just to the couple seated behind us, such dark corner of the venue, I’d hate to be given such a table. We ordered coffee at the end, the sugar came in sachets, similar to how sugar is served in Starbucks, in sachets. How ordinary is that! Those sugar sachets sum up my experience. . . ordinary!

   The service was outstanding, the food overpriced and mediocre. This is the second time I have dined there and found the food overpriced and less than good (last time verging on the inedible except for the starter) but the service and ambiance above average.

    We are Americans living in Sydney. First time away from home. We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner and very much appreciated the staff’s welcoming approach and excellent service.
