The dining room is elegant and understated. The service is both professional and personal. And the food is spectacular. Every dish is scrumptious. On this visit, we ordered 3 appetizers: the scallops--a special; crab ravioli and escargots. Each was full of flavor and perfectly sauced. For our main courses, we ordered the duck, the sirloin and the Dover sole. We each ate our own and tasted the others. We couldn't decide which was the best; each was so delicious. Even though we were beyond full, we couldn't resist a dessert. We shared the profiteroles and chocolate mousse. The former were tasty but the the mousse was a showstopper--rich and creamy with the best ever dark chocolate. Mistral offers an evening to be savored and remembered.

Our dining at Mistral was one of the best experiences we have had in Boston in over 50 years. The service was warm and welcoming - just spectacular - yet unobtrusive. The food was delicious and unique. It was a perfect meal in all respects.

Very attentive kind staff. We enjoyed our appetizers French onion soup, lamb leaf salad and entrees halibut and a beef dish. They didn’t have a cocktail I requested so created one I’d like which was really tasty. The only thing we noticed is the lack of creative presentation on the cocktail and dessert. Chocolate mousse was a single scoop in a bowl like ice cream with no garnish other than Happy Anniversary written on a plate below the bowl. Both really needed something more.

Excellent kitchen and waitstaff. Restaurant has lingering kitchen grease odors and has started piping in noisome AI generated muzak.

As always food was excellent all around but our service was so slow. Took forever to take our order but then first and main course were not too delayed. Clearing our plates and desert ordering then took too long.
