Mineral is an excellent choice for anyone looking to experience Filipino cuisine with a contemporary twist. The price point is on the higher side, but for the quality, presentation, and overall experience, it’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommend.

The food was good, the ube flan and salmon were fantastic. The portions were quite small and we were left hungry after the meal despite both partner and I choosing the tasting menu. We had a snack before dinner and after dinner For the main, I wonder if they use a large protein portion for two people or if it’s the same size. there were a lot (more than expected number) of shared plates vs individual portions which I have experienced with other chefs tasting. Also sitting by the back by the chefs table was tight. The sever hit my chair probably 5-6 times throughout the night even after tucking in which was very annoying. If they had apologize then sure but they didn’t. The timing was also off in terms of dishes. It did come quickly but there was one instance where we had just finished eating and then the next dish was being fitted on the counter before things could be removed. It felt a bit rushed and took away from the experience. Some food came like 40s after another and it was to fast while others took few minutes. Harder to appreciate the food. Also wouldn’t have mind if they provide more context on how to eat some then dishes instead of being told what it is.

Incredible experience. The food was delicious and the dishes were so comforting. I loved every bite and every course was so unique and satisfying. The one flan was spectacular, as was the starter soup, lobster wonton and the salmon sinagang.

I went here with my husband to have a date night for the first time since having a baby. We decided on getting the chef tasting menu. The dishes were presented beautifully and tasted good aside for the tuna kinilaw was a bit too salty. The two issues I had was that when it came to the main (salmon sinigang, rice and charred broccolini) it is only one serving no matter how many people are in your party which does not make sense if you’re paying $95 per person, you should not be given a main to share. There was a lady sitting across from us that was being served the tasting menu at the same time and it was clear that she had the same portion for her meal. There are also other lower ratings posted with the same issue with the servings, I should have read them before deciding to go here. The dessert (one leche flan) was also served to share. The second issue was that they mentioned that they were out of the scallop lumpia so the waiter recommended the lobster dumpling was available which we said was fine, not knowing that it would cost additional $9 per person as the waiter did not mention it. I would recommend if you want to come to experience the food, go alone but overall it isn’t worth it and there are plenty other tasting menus in Toronto that are better where you are not expected to share your main and dessert when you’re paying per person. After a 2 hour dinner, we left unfulfilled and still hungry after paying $230.

We ate at the chef's table and it was exquisite. First of all, there was so much food and each course was delectable. Perfectly played, the flavours were well balanced with a variety of textures. One of the best tasting menus in the city, hands down. The chef was so inviting and the kitchen appeared to work in perfect sync. 10/10 recommended to everyone.

I love sitting at the chef's counter - any chef's counter because it's like a dinner and a show but I always feel bad because it can seem intrusive. Here, chef Danny not only prepared the food, but explained the components for us. He was so gracious and generous with his time and with the ingredients. As we went through the tasting menu, the fish was our main and the salmon was one of the nicest cuts of fish I had had in a long time. Still, we noticed that the beef short rib kare kare was super popular and we were oohing and ahhing over how tender it looked. When chef heard our comments, he presented us with a gift of a mini beef dish - all the accompaniments included and beautifully plated. If that isn't hospitality, I don't know what is. Front of the house was equally friendly. We went with the wine pairing and found them surprising and well matched - vermouth with dessert? Who would have known it would work? Overall, it was a delicious meal with professional and friendly service to match. You should definitely come and try to get a seat at the chef's counter.

Food was good to try, not spectacular. I think the place has great potential, but things could definitely be improved. I understand that they might be understaffed but I just want to share this experience in the hopes they improve. As soon as we were seated (4 people) we were told we had 2 hrs and 15 mins, which was definitely reasonable for us. It was a Wednesday night, the restaurant was not packed. What's unreasonable is we waited at least 15 mins for the server to take our order (ordered almost everything they recommended), waited at least 15 mins to get our starters, and then waited around 30 mins to get our mains. So basically, we waited a total of about an hour for food. And at around 8:20pm, they "kindly" reminded us that we only had 15 mins until the next seating. If we wanted to get dessert, we had to move to a different table (which I don't completely understand since it looked the same as our table anyway - a booth for 4, maybe tight for 6). At the time there were two empty booths. We declined and decided to just pay our bill & leave; otherwise we might have to wait again...

I had an amazing dining experience at Mineral, especially with the chef’s experience, which was absolutely worth it. The chef was not only incredibly skilled but also friendly and engaging, making the meal feel even more special. From start to finish, everything was clean, professional, and well-organized. The service was quick without feeling rushed, and the entire staff—from the bartender to the host—was welcoming and accommodating. Now, the food—simply outstanding. Every dish had its own unique twist while still staying true to its roots. Some highlights: •Kinilaw, oysters, and uni were fresh and flavorful. •Kare kare was perfectly tender and rich. •Salmon sinigang had a creative take on the classic tamarind soup, which I really enjoyed. •The ube and chocolate dessert was the perfect sweet ending. I also loved that everything was made in-house, showing real attention to quality and detail. The atmosphere was great, making it a perfect spot for a memorable meal. I highly recommend going—it’s 100% worth it!

I love supporting Filipino restaurants and was happy to indulge at Mineral for their tasting menu dinner. The value for the food is phenomenal and we were full by the end of the service. My personal favorites were the kinilaw, the pineapple kombu carpaccio, and the salmon sinigang with basil, tarragon butter. While I enjoyed the overall experience, I think the menu card could use some improvements — some of the prints were hardly readable either because it was too small or the font style. Some of the menu items can be reworded or removed, e.g. i don’t think it was necessary to include the Japanese rice in the menu as part of the course if it was just plain but fancy steamed white rice. I also wished some of the servings were separate individual plates or bowls like the sinigang which is a soup, which could be somehow awkward to share with someone. Nonetheless, kudos to the chef and the staff and would definitely recommend to someone visiting Toronto! Bonus point that it’s so close to Rosedale station. Like 10 minutes away from Dundas station.
