   We discovered Mimi on the same day in which we attended. We were only able to get a reservation at 5:15pm. We were thrilled to be able to attend. We arrived early and were promptly seated. The decor was exquisite. The lighting to the furniture made us feel as if we were in a picturesque, luxury, Chinese ballroom. The service was impeccable. We were greeted by Yassar who seemed to be a barman but he was versed in all areas of the restaurant. He then introduced our server Jeffrey, an incredibly well presented individual who exuded a politeness which made us feel like royalty to put it frankly. Jeffrey knew the menu as if he had written it himself. He proceeded to humbly educate us on the many cuisines of China and the provinces of which each meal came from, and which we would be enjoying tonight. We were very excited and the evening had barely begun. Jeffrey suggested the Chef’s Choice Set Menu and my what a choice it was. I don’t want to divulge too much about the food itself, I will allow you to enjoy with the same wonder and excitement we enjoyed. However, there are dishes which you can not live without which I will include on my review. The cucumber salad, the shrimp toast, the mocktails, the steamed bass, every course left a lasting impression and kept us wanting more. You will thoroughly enjoy every second of your experience.

   Claudia, our server was terrific. She explained the concept of the restaurant, dishes, and answered all our questions. The food was very tasty, flavorful, and just the right portions. The venue was very loud and made conversations difficult. The prices were just a tad high, for Chineses food. I would dine again, but for a special occasion, not everyday dinning.

   The staff and service were fantastic. I genuinely felt like everyone was happy and excited to have me there and take care of me. Highly recommend MIMI. I’ll be back for sure.

   Mimis Chinese! Mami help me my stomach kills, we are foodies and had everything. I’ll start from the top. Ambiance and decor very nice! But super loud definitely did not think about acoustics. Drinks were good. Cucumber dish average , chicken dumplings were very good, with the ginger sea bass and the 4ft noodles. Remember these dishes cause if someone makes you go order this And I mean if they make you go! Cause I would pass. The disaster continues ….. the hidden chicken not sure if they named it cause it’s under 100s of chili peppers or because you’re better off not finding it. Then the lamb not as bad as the chicken. Then we got the steak! $128 of overdone hard meat with 4 onions on top. Service was also not good. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough! So I paid and ran out and except for the steak I don’t even know what it cost me. Coming soon space for rent

   The restaurant menu is very limited. The time to get the food was ridiculously long. The food was awful and the valet took 34 min to get our car!! Skip this restaurant it was a disappointment

   Beautiful interior, good food from various Chinese regions - however big miss not to serve duck !! In ANY shape … peking duck and pancakes needs to be added to the menu asap. Tasty cocktails and pleasant staff.

   Appetizers were good, main courses were just okay. Our server was great. The male manager was terrible, no where does it say anything about not parking in the parking lot next to their front door & we our car got towed & it was $400. They insisted they send out a email, notify you when you come in or it says on open table about not parking there but none of these things are true. The women who opened the door for us when we arrived even saw us come from the parking lot & didn’t say anything.

   Service was great. Waiter was attentive, helpful and accommodating. Food: chicken tso was over cooked and a lot of breading with little chicken inside. We left about a quarter of plate with little hard end pieces of hard chicken or breading….. cake was underwhelming (I’m a sweet cake lover). Was excited to try the noodles they first arrived cold even though the plate was hot …. Then they’ve heated the food but it was extremely salty, it was not inedible. Fried rice: Amazing ! Dumplings: we’re great ! We love Chinese food and we wish them well in the future !

   Mimi is beautiful inside, dark and a little mysterious. Service is attentive and professional. The noise level was perfect for conversation, and that is a rarity in Miami Beach where most venues are obnoxiously loud. Everything we ordered, including the seabass with ginger, four foot noodle with beef, scallion fried rice, was delicious and beautifully presented. That said, the portions are rather small. Be aware that a 20% tip is added to your bill. Mimi is perfect for a special occasion.

    After a strong recommendation from a restauranteur, I went to Mimi Chinese and had an incredible meal. The service from Manny, Kas, Ken and everyone else was impeccable. Do NOT miss this restaurant when in town!!
