   Great experience! The sushi here is superb and the selection of Japanese whiskey is also excellent. We especially enjoyed the play on light which added to the overall sensory experience. Would definitely recommend!

   Food was good. Service was not. Took 8 people for a bday dinner. There were about 15 other people in the entire restaurant. Took 30 minutes to get our drinks. Every time we ordered a drink it would take about 20 minutes to get it. Staff was not on top of customer service.

   We had this place on our list to check out and it unfortunately was a disappointment. It lacks warmth from the moment you enter, and the layout is weird. The space was not utilized well. It was extremely slow for a Friday night, only four couples and we occupied the small dining area there. The ambiance was not there. The food is overpriced for the quality. Portion size was good tho. We had the Super Dragon Roll it was 👎🏽 Then tried the deep fried roll (I think it had crab in it) and it was ok. Better than the other roll. Had steak and chicken hibachi. The meat was super dry; overcooked, and bland (no seasoning at all). There is bettter hibachi at least for that price. Service was meh. They weren’t friendly or welcoming but they weren’t mean or rude either. So there was nothing special when it came to service. We won’t be revisiting.

   It was a birthday celebration for my adult son, and his family. There was delicious food for all ages. The sushi rolls are amazing! And you really should try the cheesecake or the orange sherbet. This is a great foodies restaurant.

   Great food! Was pretty empty for a Saturday night. Hopefully they have a ton of business during the week. Will definitely be back.

    We dined here the first time last night. We were so happy we chose this sushi restaurant because the whole experience was excellent. Our drinks my old fashion was made very well, my wife really enjoyed her lychetini martini as well. We had the chirashi and it was excellent. A good portion of incredibly fresh sashimi on rice. Was perfect. We also ordered the steak and sharing hamachi which was delicious. Special mention has to be given for the BEST toro belly ever. It was like Wagu quality marbled and fatty and absolutely perfect. Overall service was GREAT, food was EXCELLENT and the decor is very nice. Having lived in NYC, Chicago, LA and traveling to Japan often we are rather particular to recommend sushi restaurants because we have been fortunate to try some of the best in the world and Mikata deserves mention as a top sushi choice in the Atlanta area. You will be glad you tried it. Our bill for 4 drinks, Toro belly ( 4 perfect pieces) chirashi, hamachi was $181 with tax. We also had a piece of cheesecake and it was delicious. Overall one of the best restaurants we have been to in our 1 year here in ATL.
