Situated in the heart of Merchant City, Mharsanta brings a taste of Scotland to you. We have a passion for using seasonal, local produce from Scotland and are here to ensure our guests have the very best experience from the moment you walk through the door.

We serve a variety of Scottish food from mussels and scallops to home cooked favourites including freshly landed fish and chips and steak and sausage pie. Our resident chef Dom and his team serve an array of culinary delights to suit every taste at affordable prices.

We are open 7 days a week from 12pm and offer a Dine In, Takeaway and Home Delivery service.

Discover more about whisky through vision, taste and aroma at the contemporary Scottish restaurant Mharsanta, located in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City. Our reputation is based on priding ourselves on using great quality locally produced Scottish food and a warm welcome. Included are some Scottish delights that Mharsanta has to offer with our favourite sharing plates – MacSween’s Haggis Croquettes, Mini fish ‘n chips, Scottish Smoked salmon with oatcakes, Goat’s Cheese Croquettes and Wild Mushrooms on Toasted sourdough. The event lasts for 1 hour - 1.5 hours and is open to all ages, however, the whisky tasting is only available to those over 18 years old.

It was easy to book lunch for my wife and I on Open Table. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The quality of the food was excellent and the lunch menu presents real value for money.

This is our 'must go there' place whenever we are in Glasgow. There is an excellent menu with something for every taste. Being in Scotland I had to go for haggis and so chose the Haggis Scotch Egg for starters and then the Haggis Lasagne for my main course. Both were excellent - but I really must try something else next time! Both the red and white house wines were very palatable - the white must have been as our guests had an extra glass!! The 3 female staff were very friendly and attentive, checking with us frequently without being pushy. All in all we had a wonderful night catching up with old friends and will certainly return next time we are up that way.

Fantastic experience. Staff were friendly and attentive. The Goats cheese croquettes and Haggis Lasagne were delicious. Definitely be back.

We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. The place was very busy so obviously popular - reservation advised. Service was good. Ambience and decor conducive to a good dining experience. The menu offers a good range of dishes with a Scottish bias. We thoroughly enjoyed fish and chips and also panko crumbed chicken burger. All well cooked and nicely presented. Generous portions. We'd be happy to return. Good value for money.

Absolutely excellent food. Never tasted such fresh fish (fish & chips) in decades. And I'm including award winning chippies in Anstruther. This was so much better. Service excellent. Can't recommend enough.
