   We had not been to Metropolis for a while. Excellent experience. I had the delicious rope grown mussels and Salmon and a piece of the cod. Wow. Everything was delicious. Very high quality fresh ingredients. The garlic in salted olive oil and bread were delicious. The chorizo and crushed tomato sofrito and toasted bread were perfect accompaniments to the mussels. The cod I tried was great. Huge piece of fresh salmon. I was so full I only ate the salmon and a little bit of the tampenade ( mostly the crispy capers) Service is great. The current servers have been there for years. Compared to years ago, the seating is more spacious and comfortable. (We hadn’t eaten at a booth for a long time).

   We always enjoy our experience at Metropolis! It's one of the things we miss most about living in the South End. The food is great. Service is top notch. And great prices for the neighborhood. 5 stars all around!!

   I am out of townm but have made it a point to dine at Metroolis when in Boston/Back Bay. The food has always been excellent, so I don't hesitate, at all, bringing friends with me when we visit.

   Delightful ambience, very French decor. Food is delicious. Servers are beautiful people. Prices have gone up but quality is excellent. Portions are not overwhelming. Wine choice is good. I love this place. Tables are tiny but it’s just like Paris, you’re sitting cheek by jowl with other diners and everyone is friendly..

   I hadn't been here for a while, and so I tried two items that I hadn't seen on the menu before: the chicken livers appetizer and the veal scaloppini. Their slogan is "Small kitchen, big flavors". Couldn't have said it better myself! Outstanding.

   The restaurant has been around for about 30 years and always extremely busy. There must be a reason! If you want a great meal at a "Boston" restaurant this is the place to go.
