   Celebrated my birthday. Everyone at Merrimans did a wonderful job in ensuring that I had a great birthday! But it’s always a good experience. The food and service are consistently outstanding!

   Quality took a sudden nosedive today, whaaa happened??? Fish and chips look like they were refried, oily and with a dirty brown oil midline on the filets as if the oil was not hot enough. The grilled eggplant sandwich is an underwhelming presentation and eggplant grilled al dente doesn’t work.

   Service was great and so was the food. Our waiters Tyson and Jackson were also great! Will definitely return.

   Nice dinner with friends from UK who had never been to Hawaii. Recommendations from waiter were spot on. Especially the Bread Pudding!

   Excellent dinner tonight. We had a great server Mike. He was very helpful with his knowledge of the menu. We started with the green beans and a beet salad. I will order the Caesar next time. They were both good. My chicken was excellent. Served hot on a an iron skillet sizzling with mushroom and sauce My friend had the falafel and enjoyed it. Our other friend had the pork and he said it was really good. My husband had the burger. It looked really good. He said he didn’t like the sauce on it. His steak fries were really good,crisp and hot. The lillicoi dessert was excellent. The cookie was crispy and delicious Overall, I think it’s hard to find a good restaurant where you can find great food and great service. I will definitely return

   We had reservations for 4 for Happy Hour and upon arrival were seated immediately at a lovely table outside. A waiter miraculously appeared and took our cocktail orders. I had Merriman’s special Mai Tai. Light, frothy and delicious. The food menu for Happy Hour has a wonderful number of choices and the portions are remarkably generous. I recommend the fish tacos, kalua pig quesadillas, spicy Szechuan green beans and of course the oysters on half shell. We had a fabulous evening. Highly recommend Merrimans. Mahalo.

   Enjoyed the whole experience. Recommend making reservations, for a no-wait experience. We ate out on their patio. Service was excellent, delicious food. Their Happy Hour menu choices are diverse with lunch size portions of food appearing quickly before us. So satisfied with everything we ate there 2 nights in a row.

   Although pricey, I wouldn't describe it as a fancy restaurant, as most guests were dressed pretty casual. The food was absolutely delicious, our server Max was very helpful in describing the dishes and wines we were interested in. Food service was quick and Max or other servers were very attentive in removing our dishes or refilling our water. The dishes we ordered: appetizer: garlic roasted wild shrimp, entreés: fresh grilled salmon and mushroom ravioli.

    I always enjoy the food here-had mahi mahi and it was delicious. The waitress was excellent- personable and attentive. The outdoor seating is wonderful. Much quieter than indoor.
