   Delicious food that clearly spoke of fine/high end dining. Very attentive service without being nosy. Did have some issues with communication prior to the visit, but was made up by great food + service. Visited it after 7 years (different island) and it was the right decision!

   Well made food and cocktails. They were able to accommodate my dietary restriction - Celiac, Gluten Free. Service was friendly yet professional. Large outdoor area that does allow well behaved dogs.

   This was our first year doing Merriman's Thanksgiving Prix Fixe Menu and it did not disappoint. The service from the staff was amazing from the hostess to the food runners. Everything ordered was tasty and the wine pairings were on point. Definitely would recommend for your next Holiday evening.

   We have had great food at Merriman’s but I must say that the Thanksgiving food was of a very poor quality. It was like we had been at a cafeteria line. Nothing tasted great and for that price it was awful. The yams were the consistency of stewed tomatoes, the cranberry sauce tasted more like pineapple sauce, the green beans were extremely spicy so we didn’t eat them, I couldn’t find much goat cheese in my beet salad and my chocolate purse was very hard. With the tip and one non-alcoholic drink we spent over $300 and I couldn’t find much have gone to a fine dining restaurant for that amount.

   I am a frequent customer of Merrimans. It is a staple for us on Thankgiving and New Year's Eve. I was completely dissapointed and unhappy this Thanksgiving with the quality and especially our service last night. Our server gave us subpar service. Our party of 2 was for reservations on Thanksgiving at 630pm outside seating. We were running late. I phoned ahead to let them know. We arrived at 651pm and were seated just after 7pm. Our server was friendly and poured us the complmentary champagne. She returned a little later to take our order. My son ordered the tenderloin and I ordered the Turkey plate with the wine pairing.The pairing were not served with the food. If I'm not mistaken, should've been four pairings. I could be mistaken. The first glass came out after the butternut soup. Our server told me the name. I finished the glass before the 2nd course arrived. The main course arrived and not from our server. We sat for over 10 minutes before she came to check on us. I had no utensils. She said she would return. after 15 minutes I told my son to go ahead and eat. I didn't want his food to get cold. She came back finally and explained that my turkey was cold. She left and the manager came to our table to ask about my plate. The Mgr. took my plate and ended up bringing me a new plate. Then I received a glass of red from my server. The wine went well with my plate. I wanted to know the type of wine? She never told me. Just checked on us during dinner. We finished dinner around 810pm.I was aware of the time because my son's friend called and said we should be finshed in a 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. Our plates were cleared and someone brought desert. Our server dropped off the wine thereafter. It was terrible. I wanted to know what it was. I ended up not drinking it. She took a while to return and asked us the usual. I odered coffee and Baileys. She brought that it promptly. We finished. Took awhile for the check. Paid $403 and change w/tip. No turkey sandwich. Left 930pm

   We went for special Thanksgiving menu and tried a variety of things! All was delicious and the surprise take away turkey sandwich for tomorrow's lunch was an extra, unexpected touch that put the experience over the top!

   We always sit outside at Merriman’s because it’s way too noisy inside. This time we were seated in the area that, even with an umbrella, got way too much sun from about 4 PM. We had a table of four and one or more of us nearly always had to deal with the sun and our eyes. And all other respects, our experience was excellent, as it has been in the past. The food there is remarkably good, and so is the service. I’ll be back for sure.

   Had the Thanksgiving fixed menu lunch. Everything was delicious. The poke was tasty, the biscuits always win, and everyone enjoyed their choices. Jackson, our server was patient, attentive, and got everything right! Merriman’s remains a favorite.

    Merriman’s Honolulu never disappoints! The food is always outstanding and the staff go above and beyond with everything they do. My wife and I decided to dine here for Thanksgiving and our server, Ryan, made us feel like family from start to finish. The food was delicious and perfectly paired with wine for each course. Merriman’s continues to be one of our all time favorite restaurants on Oahu!
