Mermaid Oyster Bar is a family of casually sophisticated seafood restaurants born in New York in 2003.

Starting out in Manhattan’s East Village as a spot-on rendition of a casual New England fish shack, The Mermaid Inn has morphed into an American seafood brasserie, replete with style, hospitality and a menu marked by bold and seasonally inspired cuisine.     From the minute my girls and I walked it we were greeted by friendly staff! The service and food was extremely great! We appreciated and love our servers. We will be back

    We had the very best service and they lobster knuckles were out of this world! Our server was outstanding and this was one of the best meals both service and food wise that we have had in New York City

    The noise level was unbearable. I loved the old UWS location and this was my first time at the Times Square location. I really enjoy the food, the service is great, but something has to be done about the noise absorption. I couldn’t hear my friends. It was awful.

    Food and service were very good. But they asked us to leave after we were done eating because they wanted the table. You don’t do that. Totally unacceptable.

    3 out of 4 lunches ordered were disappointing. I've been to the Mermaid Inn Chelsea previously and loved everything about it. Times Square one misses the mark in my opinion. Surly waitress and sub-par food for most of us. We'll not be back.
