   We were seated immediately and had a server and an assistant. The first person tried to rush us to order, painstakingly told us about everything on the menu, even though we are able to read and had not even had a chance to look at it to ask any questions then  after bringing our glasses of wine, it took about 15 minutes to come back to us. So we got through the first round of drinks and starters, and they came back and took a second round of drink order, but then disappeared and we had to flag them down to get a check. We would’ve ordered something else, but by that point we had been sitting there long enough that it was clear that we were being rushed out to make room for other people. The total experience took us less than an hour and 15 minutes.  The food was good, but not particularly fantastic. The meatballs tasted exactly the same as the ones I had at the peacock room.  There were two very large birthday parties happening, and the restaurant was extraordinarily loud.

   Popular place for Sunday group brunch. Loved the #20 refreshing gin and cucumber water cocktail. Service was knowledgeable and attentive.

   Great place for those who like to try a bunch of things. Gumbo was outstanding, boudin balls were fantastic, and the noodle dishes were delicious!

   Thought this restaurant was just okay. We had the sweetest server who tried to make the best of it, but the food took quite a long time to come out, especially the apps. The ribs, cornbread, and Mexican corn were yummy, and the crispy chicken salad was amazing. But the paccheri, broccoli app, and crab curry noodles were just okay. I was especially disappointed with the crab noodles. The portion sizes on the pasta dishes were alarmingly small. Overall it's a nice place with lots of space and a fun crowd, but not sure I'd return.

    Meril is always amazing. I would not recommend the Caesar salad. Hunks of anchovies that overpowered the salad. Did not taste like a Caesar salad at all. Everyone who ordered one did not eat it. The rest of our food was great, but the salad was awful.
