Owner Melba Wilson opened its doors for locals and travelers alike to have a pleasant dining experience with great service. Fried catfish strips, barbecue short rib sliders and spring rolls filled with black-eyed peas and collard greens make delicious appetizers before feasting on the main course. Guests can choose from entrées like Melba's popular Southern fried chicken with eggnog waffles, which was a winner on Throwdown! with Bobby Flay, as well as pan-seared sea bass and the barbecue turkey meatloaf. This restaurant also serves hamburgers, lighter fare and sides such as candied yams.

Me and my husband went there for our anniversary and Valentine's we enjoyed the food and the service the where quick with the food and the drinks where on point and the vibe we will be back thank you Melba's 😊 🙏🏻

From the greeting to wobbling out. Melba’s was absolutely extraordinary. The service was impeccable and the prices were even better — especially for the portion size you receive. Very diverse staff to cater to the area. I will definitely return and recommend.

We were in town for the day from PA. My husband and I decided to a visit Melba’s. We came a few minutes early. We order 2;06 pm by 2:50 we still did not get our food. Finally we had to leave for another function. The manager came over said she would discount our food. We express we will pay for we got at the point. That we had to leave. If someone only over and spoke us about they had run out what we want. We would adjust our order. Two cups of tea and shot of grey goose came up $25. Wanted to pay for it. But manager took care of it. I understand bad days happen. But someone just came over knowledge us it would have been better. But it would not stop us from coming to Melba’s

Sadly we had to keep asking for the server and It was very slow. Food is great as always, but we were never asked if we needed anything nor did my guest get the drink she asked for.

what a delicious day in Harlem. Came back to melba’s for brunch in celebration of a friend’s. Everybody had there mouth set on menu items and we were ready to EAT. the server came over quickly with water that had lemon and mint leaves in it which was a cool touch. we ordered eggnog waffles and catfish, egg nog waffles and fried chicken and the fried deviled eggs and catfish nuggets. the Harlem IT cocktail and Strawberry Henny were delicious. the food came out surprisingly fast, hot , fresh and perfectly cooked. The strawberry butter on top of the waffles was a delightful touch. the Melba’s cane came out and sang happy birthday to the birthday boy and dropped off a slice of carrot cake with candle which ironically is his fave! The server is a OG there and so hospitable. If i ever want soul food in NYC is is going to be Melba’s everytime!
