Nestled in the heart of downtown Asheville, decorated with carvings, and statues imported from India. Mëhfil brings you authentic Indian food in a beautifully relaxed atmosphere.
Come enjoy a casual meal with friends or a celebration with your loved ones. Either way, you'll be taken care of by our knowledgeable and friendly team. We take pride in what we serve and how we serve it - Good Food and Great Service. We also offer takeout, delivery, catering and in Jul 2023 we have added Mow, Mehfil on Wheels, a food truck serving Mehfil food. Mow is a regular at the local breweries and can even come in to your neighborhood. Our signature dishes include the lamb chops, goat curry, deluxe mixed grill-an assortment of lamb and chicken seekh kebab, tandoori shrimp and lamb chops. No one does the tandoor as good us and our awards are testimony to that.

Third Anniversary Special Buffet

Mehfil completes three years on 04/07/2025. Its been an incredible journey that would not have been possible without the love and support of the Asheville Community. We are celebrating the occasion with a special buffet comprising some of our most popular dishes and a lot of additional dishes that are not on the menu. There will be live stations and special cocktails throughout the day. The menu is below:- Two types of rice Three types of breads Four types of chicken dishes Lamb curry Goat curry Mix seafood curry Five types of vegetarian dishes Four types of vegan dishes. Plus our usual beverages, desserts, soups and pakoras. The detailed menu can be seen from our website one week before the event. Mehfil really stands out in a town full of Indian restaurants. The service and food were excellent. We don’t go into downtown much but it’s worth it to eat there.

We had an excellent dinner tonight. It was our second time to eat at Mehfil, and we definitely plan to return. The menu was extensive and our server was fantastic.

We had a very knowledgeable server. She understood that my level of "heat" in an East Indian dish was quite low...lol. Everything that I ordered had just the right amount of "heat" and I didn't experience heat coming out of the top of my head. The flavors were exceptional, and she was pleased that my fiancé ordered something apparently out of the ordinary as he's Vegan and knows about a lot of ethnic foods. A great last-minute decision in a town where we are not familiar with the restaurants.

Once again enjoyed a great meal at Mehfil. Raj and the entire staff are always warm and welcoming and that goes along with some of the best Indian food I can find anywhere. Enjoyed taking my oldest son who loves Indian food. He stated that he can never eat another biryani dish without thinking about Mehfil. Thank You!

We go regularly to the restaurant and it's always a great experience. The food is prepared exactly like requested and the staff is very friendly. It's a go to for us when we crave Indian food.
