   Very good food but it was very noisy today and the service was very poor. I come regularly and have never experienced such poor service

   Awful evening , went with 2 children for an early dinner - 1 hour for first course to come and ages for dessert- can’t go wrong with ice cream but cranachan was inedible. Dirty seats, cold restaurant and not busy on a Monday evening. Come on McLarens surely you can do better. Sorry won’t be back - a truly bad experience.

   Excellent staff - very attentive and efficient / very nicely welcomed by the staff, great service and our Sunday roast was huge and very tasty!

   The dinner wine pairing event was very nice, food was delicious and the wine was unique tasting. The Qand A with the rugby players was very entertaining and the MC was excellent

   Very disappointed in food prawn rigatoni was bland and very few prawn. Cranachan was plate of cream few raspberries and a few sprinkles of puff candy. As it was as my friends birthday I didn’t want to cause a fuss Staff were excellent very friendly

   On a positive note I loved the atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and tried their best to resolve our problems. I had been looking forward to my Sunday roast all week so was so disappointed with the quality of the meat I received,I initially chose steak but when it arrived I was unable to cut it it was so tough and when I tried to eat it it was so chewy that I had to leave it on side of plate. I complained and was offered a replacement meal so said I'd take chicken, this arrived and it was a chicken leg which was OK and veg and roast potatoes very nice but no yorkshire puddings. My friend had same problem of chewy tough meat with her steak sandwich and her replacement was not any better. Staff tried their best but think a manager should have taken over to apologise. Maybe just a one off bad day so will go back in the future as its a lovely looking restaurant with nice staff and dog friendly.

   Went here for breakfast, waited 45 minutes for it to arrive and when it did it wasnt particularly hot but we were so short of time by then that we just ate up and left. My advice is just go somewhere else, there’s so much choice in bruntsfield and from experience better restaurants than this one.

    A good lunch but the Guinness had run out. Also, I had an early bird voucher expiring today however due to a change of menu it was not honoured. I received 10% less discount than expected.
