    They let people wear sillly hats but god forbid you have a nice fitted cap, you will be treated unfairly.

    There maybe a new chef but the steak was ok this time but I only go to Mastro’s NYC as I tell the world how Mastro’s make only the best of the best but this time, I was a bit disappointed on my steak. Of all the yrs I’ve been going there, this was the only one I was not satisfied with but service is excellent!! And the warm butter cake was hard, I don’t know why it didn’t reach my standard this time. I will for sure come back. Maybe there were not enough butter on the steak that didn’t have that flavor or so, or new guys in the kitchen

    Consistently our favorite steakhouse in the city for special occasions! Filet always on point, love the Dream Berry drinks and cosmos, and the butter cake with fresh whipped cream. Our server was awesome, but the food runners rushed our appetizers (despite entrees not being ready yet) and were careless when serving us the sides (reaching over us across the table, making a mess, and putting the sides on top of one another on our plates). Other than these hiccups, great experience and would recommend!

    Was in NYC over Christmas. Had googled restaurants open near Rockefeller Center on Christmas. Reserved 2 at Mastros! Location was 7 min from our hotel. Stunning ambience, food was superb (best swordfish I've had in a long time) Purple waiter, Ronnie was exceptional. He graciously took a photo of us! Would go back in a NY minute!

    Hostess was not particularly welcoming and in fact quite rude. She questioned my adult son’s dress pants despite the fact they were designer pants, not track pants. We were seated at a very uncomfortable high top table very near the bar and wait station. We were bumped and knocked by staff throughout our dinner. Not a good experience at all especially given the very high price of the meal. Very disappointed and will not return. The stairs leading to the basement needed a good cleaning as well. We expected more from Mastros.
