   Stopped for a roast dinner which was lovely. Really enjoyed the mini pudding too. The real joy about this pub is the staff who were absolutely fantastic.

   Food was absolutely subpar. It looked fantastic, but as soon as you eat you realise the chicken is on the bone (on a roast?), the roasties were rock solid, the peas were so dried out I’m convinced they were air fried, and the ‘carrots’ ??? non existent. The Yorkshire pudding was the best thing about it. The raspberry and apple crumble was again, seemingly okay, but until you take a bite you realise it’s 99.9% mushed up raspberry, and a few oats sprinkled on top. It was a huge portion, with perhaps less than 10ml of custard for the whole thing. Not sure I saw an apple in the whole thing. The pub itself is really nice, I just find it odd that some of the menus didn’t have prices on? The staff were seemingly nice, until I overheard the manager(?) and youngest new member of staff talking - they were openly talking about lying to customers, and even shouted “I’m so great at lying” after getting off the phone with somebody. They were shouting at each other from the bar to the kitchen door, which made it incredibly annoying to sit there to have to listen to. We were seated in a very peaceful area, until the end of our meal (the entire pub was near empty) - a loud family with an unwell child was seated near us. The family openly talking about drugs and illegal money, while the child ran around knocking into my chair, all while complaining he felt sick. I haven’t been here in years, and I heard that it had changed and was absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately my perception of this has already been ruined and I don’t think I will be returning.

   Had a lovely lunch here with the family and our nervous dog. The staff were lovely and accommodated our request for a table out of the way to cater for our dog. Food was great and so we ended up eating three courses for lunch.

   Realy friendly staff, beautiful food, reasonably priced. Calling it 'pub food" gives it an injustice, it was restaurant quality, at pub prices.

   We have been many times and the Sunday roast is heavenly. It is delicious every time. The roasties are properly homemade, not frozen like some places use. They give you lots of meat and wow, all the different veg too. My only issue is that we can never fit in a pudding!!

   We were the first customers through the door when it opened at 12 (on a Saturday) .. We had the 4 sharer starters which were absolutely lovely - halloumi were massive and the pork bites were great. For mains I had the mushroom and garlic burger which was spot on and my wife the fish and chips. My child had chicken nuggets which were delicious (he was full so I helped myself) For desserts we had Sticky Toffee, brownie tray and my child had ice cream fun - all spot on The servers were spot on and made a fuss about my boy. Will definitely return as I found out they have a lovely selection behind the bar and also show live sports... And I might even dabble with another burger.

    Really lovely only thing was service was quite slow we had to keep going back up to the bar to get people’s attention for things. Waitress looked quite new but she was lovely.
