   I could definitely recommend Masa mama! It was very delicious and we enjoyed the ambiance as well. The food was really good.

   Great new spot, delicious food and cocktails! It’s a great new addition to Marda Loop, would highly recommend if you’re a Mexican food lover.

   Food was great and good value, loved our waitress and the staff was very attentive. Music level was a bit high and there was a bit of a cold draft from the door but it was -22 and it's a small space. Definitely want to go back and try more of the menu.

   Service was not great. Our server kept disappearing and we were left waiting long periods for everything. Food was hit and miss. Some of the tacos were amazing, but some were not good. Very loud music. Didn't leave us dying to come back for another visit overall.

   The calamari is to die for, the tacos are fire, and the service is even better. Our server. Alexia, was friendly and attentive. Thanks to all the staff.

   Based on other reviews, we came to Masa Mama expecting to be blown away by the food. Sadly, this was not the case - while everything was fine, our party agreed the food was nothing to rave about. We tried the calamari (sesame aioli was quite overpowering, but the calamari was enjoyable - very tender), birria taco, Korean fish taco, chicken tinga and al pastor tacos. The Korean fish tacos were yummy, with a nice blend of sweet and mild spice from gochujang sauce. Birria is often greasy, but this was a little excessive and ended up bothering our stomachs. The service and atmosphere were pleasant, but I won't be in a rush to return because of the average food.

   The guac, quesabirria taco and the ceviche are probably the best in Calgary for Mexican.
