Margaret is a neighbourhood restaurant at its core, but it’s also evolved into something more than that. It’s about comfort, generosity, and cosiness.
At Margaret, we work with the best quality produce that Australia has to offer. Chef Neil Perry AM has spent years developing relationships with some of the best suppliers in the country. We are predominantly a seafood restaurant and are very fortunate to receive our seafood direct from our fishermen, caught sustainably and dry filleted here onsite at Margaret, so we can ensure that all that love and care our wonderful fisherman have taken is seen all the way through.                                                                             An exceptional experience for a special occasion. I had my doubts that Margaret could live up to its stellar reputation, but it exceeded every expectation. The setting is modern, elegant, and welcoming, perfectly complementing the outstanding food and a wine list that truly boggles the mind. It was certainly an expensive evening, but given the overall quality of the food, service, and atmosphere, I believe it represented good value. Hope to return sooner rathe rather than later.

                                                                            We celebrated ( low key ) my son's birthday. The food quality was very good and the service was exceptional. There is quite a large variety of choices on the menu with an overwhelmingly good wine and drinks list. I quite enjoyed the variety of Mezcals. We will most definitely be back.

                                                                            Margaret never disappoints. We come once a year from Melbourne. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere perfect and the staff are so welcoming. It is our favourite, and we highly recommend it. It’s the 3rd best steak restaurant in the world for a reason!!!

                                                                            Margaret was absolutely faultless last night. We’d hardly been seated and our first drink arrived. Our hostess Ella was brilliant in every facet and made our evening very pleasant and memorable. Needless to say the food was delicious with beautiful fresh fish cooked to perfection along with crispy salads. Best restaurant in Australia without doubt. Can’t wait to return.
