   I visited on Saturday 18th of January. I ordered the sirloin steak, well done with beef dripping chips and a side of broccoli. The steak was extremely dry and tough…..I always order well done steak anywhere I go and have never had a worse steak than this one. It was a real shame for the money I expected better. the desert was lovely tart tatain and I had a lemon drop martini it was delicious. The waiter was lovely overall it was very disappointing and we won’t be back!

   Food was as always exceptional and the prawn bisque especially! Noise level way to high and a full restaurant made service only adequate. When I asked for the bill before having been asked if I wanted to look at the dessert menu I saw relief in my waiter’s eyes.

   Sadly all five of us dissapointed with our food Waitress was lovely and understood what we were saying but manager did not come to ask why we not happy I had previously had lunch which I did enjoy but sadly so disappointing this evening Expensive considering none of us 100% satisfied

   I was a classical French chef for over 48 years , retired now for 12 years , in that 12 years we went only 4 or 5 time for a dinner , because the style food I prepared in my Restaurant was of the same level as your food , so , to find a restaurant wat gives me the happiness and joy for a evening out was verry short to find . but now I find you , is a new part of my life , to enjoy food again . the game between taste and presentation , is perfect , the ambiance is homely and pleasant the eye for detail is perfect , so to make a long story short , PERFECT .

   After watching Marco Pierre on a number of excellent MasterChef shows it was time to try his restaurant and definitely did not disappoint. From start to finish the service was incredible being seated after arriving at the front door, water and wine topped up when required and a dining room well covered by the staff whatever your needs. The food was incredible with starters of crab and pate and the ribeye steak and venison were cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. After sharing a generous creme brulee desert and an Irish Coffee we were completely relaxed and definitely will be coming to Dawson street again and likely try out Donnybrook as well. A perfect location for a special occasion in Dublin.

    Our rib eye was very very good. Menu a bit lacking on side options. Service team excellent.
