   We went there for a birthday celebration. The ambience, food and service were excellent. We had the oxtails and jerk burger. The oxtail dish was tender, very tasty and filling, and the coconut foam on the rice was nice. The jerk burger with round fries was awesome. The burger was tender and the jerk spice and sauce was flavorful. We had an outstanding server. Muta was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable of the entire menu. It was nice having him as our server. Service 5+ For the birthday celebration Muta bought us a cheese cake with ice cream and sauce. The desert was so delicious and top off a wonderful experience. It definitely a great spot for a celebration. Can’t wait to go back.

   Mango Bay just became one of my favorite restaurants in all of NYC! I just took my girlfriend there for our anniversary and we were both blown away by the insanely delicious food, the excellent service, the amazing vibe... it was an assault on all senses. I cannot wait to go back!

   Great food! Egg rolls, jerk chicken, pasta and burger were all great choices! Mango Bae and lemonade drinks paired perfect!

   The portions for the price was not a deal by any means. Two of the prawns were completely empty and void of meat, and we were given a $3.52 off the price of a $325 bill. I will not be visiting this establishment again. My original rating rating was above. The general manager reached out to correct me about what took place, and I assured him that the rating would be adjusted. I stand by my concern regarding the portions. The total bill was $308.77. The amount deducted was $24.50 for the prawns, and the reason for them being the way they were was explained. I am attaching the communication for further clarification. I am unable to attach a screen shot of the bill that was forwarded to me from the general manager. I apologize if my original statement negatively impacted the establishment in any way. My name is David i am the GM at Mango Bay. I have just read your review and wanted to reach out. Attached is a screen shot of your final bill. I circled the the amount we have discounted which was 24.50$ and not 3.52 as you stated in your review. We do appreciate your feedback but please state accurate facts. Regarding missing meat in the prawns that is impossible, there are two head on jumbo prawns in each portion the head probably fell off the shrimp and thats why you assumed there was shrimp meat missing. Reviews are very important to us because they help us to get better, nevertheless they should be honest. Have a great rest of the weekend.

   The ambience was wonderful, staff on point and everything we ordered for dinner was delicious!! Definitely will return to try more of the menu, including brunch.

   I will not return to this restaurant. I've never been to a restaurant where you run out of food, staple foods at that. How do you run out of pasta and rice...Also, I expected different variations of food choices from a Nigerian Chef. No jollof rice. Almost all the items we ordered were not available. I tried to prep my selection prior to getting to the restaurant, had my heart set on one meal that was not even on the menu. That was clearly false advertisement on the internet. This was a very unpleasant experience out with friends and family. The drinks were not so good either. Did not enjoy.

    We enjoyed almost everything we tried at the restaurant. The food was incredible. The only dish that was slightly underwhelming compared to the other items we tried was the Ras & Pasta, but I’d love to come back and try more things
