   Went here for a work dinner and it was some of the best Greek food I’ve had ever!!! Will be back next time I’m in Toronto.

   Fresh ingredients done deliciously. I've never had a Negroni like theirs. We did the tasting menu and we can't wait to come back with more friends to try the rest of the menu.

   Second time visiting. This time we brought friends. Micheal at the bar was excellent once again on recommendations for dinner and drinks. Definitely looking forward to another visit.

   I have been going to this restaurant since it opened. Absolutely love the food! Bar none, it’s unreal. However, the service has taken a turn for the worse. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and were informed our table was not ready. No problem we say! We asked if we could have a drink at the bar where two seats were open. Not an option. We were rudely moved to the side while we waited. Our table became available and we were seated promptly which was great. The first 15 minutes of sitting we felt we were already being rushed out. The server asked us to place our main order when we hadn’t decided on appetizers yet. It was very uncomfortable how they made us feel. We had a lovely dinner with wine. We paid our bills and had half a glass of wine left and had another person (believe it was the manager) ask us to leave as the next table was here. We were taken aback as we weren’t quite finished yet. Other tables noticed how rudely we were being treated and commented. We spent a lot of money last night and can’t believe how they treat guests. It’s too bad as I absolutely adore the food and ambience there. After many years going there, last night was our last.

   One of my favourite restaurants of all time! Food is always amazing, and Lisa our server goes the extra mile every time. Love her!!!

   Never write a review when you are upset, so I let some time pass. Mamakas has been a favourite for some time now. Food is always excellent and service is quite friendly. Dishes are well prepared and always delicious. As of lately, and this goes also for many restaurants specially in Toronto, you need to make a reservation with a credit card guarantee. That's ok but sometimes OpenTable's system doesn't work and making a reservation becomes a challenge. Besides that, I do understand the need for a restaurant to turn the tables several times per night, but on my last visit, I was not served the dessert that I ordered, and when I asked for it, I was told that I needed to leave the table and either have it at the bar or take it home. I find this to be quite rude and it is only the second time that something like this has happened. Curiously enough, the other time was also at a trendy Greek restaurant on King Street, where, even though I had a reservation, I was told before sitting that they needed the table in 90 minutes. By the time we left 2 hours later, the restaurant was still half empty. If you have guests (and I do think that I am a guest that has decided to spend my time and money at your establishment) there should be a minimum of common sense on how and when to ask someone to leave. Again, food: 5 stars. Service: a lot was left to be desired.

   The food at Mamakas is always fresh and delicious, and the service was friendly. My wife and I will be taking our parents here as well soon.

    As a Greek, the food was good and mostly authentic. Pricey but excellent. Service was exceptional. One of the managers even went as far as marking the menu to avoid my mother’s allergies. Would highly recommend the experience.
