In case you haven’t heard, Makoto has moved to an awesome new space on the 3rd floor. Re-envisioned by Paris-based designer India Mahdavi, it’s a bold new look which will take your dining experience to a whole new level. Bright colors and cozy banquettes. More outdoor dining. More seats at the sushi counter. And of course, the food and drink will be as fabulous as ever.

Makoto Okuwa ushers Japanese cuisine into the 21st century at his eponymous eatery, located on the 3rd floor of the luxurious Bal Harbour Shops. One of Miami’s most accomplished chefs, Okuwa, a master of Edomae-style sushi, reshapes tradition for a savvy audience eager for something new. Being a professional Foodie, my party had one of the most memorable experience tonight! Of course it all starts with the food, which was to die for! From the very beginning with the apps to the dessert, ending with the after dinner digestive, it would have not been complete without the team of Ana, Cindy, Elias, and Paola, who are so warming and welcoming throughout the evening, that left us with a memorable experience, that gives us the inspiration to return soon! Cheers and Bon Apetit, to Makoto, Domo Arigato ☝️🍷

El restaurante es muy bonito y la comida es muy buena, pero no tiene extractores suficientes en la cocina si va para alguna reunión después de comer, no se haga adentro, saldrá oliendo a comida, y ese aroma lo acompañará todo el día
