   I visited to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and arrived about five minutes early for our reservation. Unfortunately, we were informed that due to traffic delays, our table would be pushed back by 45 minutes. While the delayed start was a bit disappointing, the service at the bar was excellent as we enjoyed a drink while we waited. Overall, it turned into a pleasant experience thanks to the attentive staff and great atmosphere.

   The last two times we have been to Maggiano’s, we have walked away disappointed. Last time was due to the older blonde manager and the attitude she had towards our table when we asked for extra silverware and the hot tea we ordered 20 minutes previously. This time it was due to our server, Victoria, who was inattentive and far from cordial. She never retrieved the two kids menus we requested, did not notice that one of the guests was without the dish they ordered, and did not mention the ice cream that comes with the meal, until we asked, when she responded, “Most parents don’t like when I mention the dessert.” This place used to be filled with holiday cheer and the food was worth the price. Hard to find a reason to come back until they start improving their customer service.

   My last visit here was a dinner last October 14, 2024. I was invited to join a group of 10. The food and service were excellent. We were served with more food when we asked for more. Everybody in that group had a good experience that made me decide to choose this place to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary lunch last December 21, 2024. I had 10 guests including the in-laws of my daughter. I ordered Family Style Lunch. My main concern was some food that were served seems to be less, compared to our dinner experience two months ago. No additional serving was offered. The cube cheese was very hard. The salmon that came with smaller cut had no second serving. I only had one piece of that salmon. My daughter, who liked your beef medallion requested for more beef. She was told that your place does not do this anymore, although Daniel, our waiter made an exception and gave her more beef. I wanted to mention the previous serving that we had last October, but I decided to keep quiet in front of my daughter's mother-in-law. The cheesecake and tiramisu had no second helping. We were discussing your previous practice of being generous with food was the key factor why my friends and associates pick your place for group gatherings. I understand that your business should make money, but your customers were willing to pay the price as long as they feel taken cared of while they visit your place. I feel that a $108 bottle of wine was expensive, but I was willing to pay for it as long as I feel that my quests were taken care of. Actually, I ordered 2 bottles. Thank you for taking time to read this long note.

   We had our neighbors holiday dinner last night. We did the family style menu. Price and quantity were amazing. We ordered the beef medallions as one of our entrees and it wasn’t good. Everything was delicious.

   Party of 6, made reservation for 1:30pm. They kept saying our table would be ready, while all other parties were being seated. It took over an hour to be seated, even with a reservation; we we very hungry by then. We were lucky that we didn't have other plans and needed to be out by a certain time or we would have been late. Filet miñon was a little chewy, did not have good flavor. Our waiter was nice.

   Our go-to restaurant for holidays! Always beautifully decorated, and what better venue than Santana Row. Food delish and a personable server. Four longtime friends will return again next year🎄🤶🎄

   Food: below 0 horrible. Took a bite of calamari it was like an oversized rubber band. Crab cakes disgusting, fettuccine bland and dry on top. Sausage in lasagna was hard like it was old. Table: I requested a table in a low traffic area. We were seated directly in the middle of the dinning room, it was a maze to get to the table in the middle of other tables, the servers could not walk around the table because it was up against other tables. Far from what we requested. It was heavy traffic, right up against other tables and noise level so loud we could not have a conversation without raising our voices. Service: we were seated 20 mins after checking in on time for a reservation. The service was very slow, once served we wanted to ask for pepper flakes, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper, but could not get these as server did not come back until he offered boxes for our food. We were celebrating a long time coming family Christmas dinner and were very disappointed in the entire experience starting with my request in a non-busy area being ignored. Georgios or Olive Garden would have been a better choice!

   Maggiano’s is one of our fave go to restaurants for special occasions. Last time we were here was Valentine’s day and I gave a 5 star review on Yelp because everything was amazing. I don’t know about tonight though, we had a reservation at 5:30 pm to celebrate my husband and I’s 15th year anniversary. We brought our 6 year old son with us. When we walked in, the receptionist were not very welcoming.. they seemed busy. Which is i guess understandable. When we entered, the main dining area was fairly empty but we got seated on the side area on the very corner. I guess this is where they sit guests with kids. Our waitress was okay, she didn’t seemed to be familiar with the menu. The food was okay too. It used to be really good but the calamari was salty and my fillet mignon steak is a little bland for my liking. Also, when we were about to eat our appetizer, our small plates on our table were dirty so my husband had to give it to the waitress and get it replaced. I do appreciate the complimentary anniversary dessert at the end for our dinner, but the overall experience was just okay compared to our past dining experience here. The service was slow.

    Our server Steve was overly friendly, and I really was annoyed with his behavior. He inserted himself in our dinner experience, making recommendations, and was simply inappropriate. I NEVER want to have him serve our table again.
