   Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The food the service the wine all exceptional. It was our 2 nd visit to Lucia,s looking forward to the 3rd . Thank you for a lovely evening.

   We booked our table of 8 and a baby back in September for Christmas Eve. We have been for a meal Christmas Eve many times at Lucia’s. However we were all very disappointed with the service this year. The waitress didn’t take our food order until 35 minutes of being in the restaurant which only left us 1 hour 30 mins left to eat our meals. We all wanted 3 courses however we weee told to leave after 2 hours which was straight after our second course as they were busy. At the time of telling us to leave as they needed the table for another party we were feeding our 11 week old baby and they didn’t even find us another table to finish our meal and feed our baby. We were very disappointed with the service and even spoke to the manager who also didn’t want to know. We will not be returning for a meal on Christmas Eve again. When feeding a baby of 11 weeks and only just finished our meal, the manager should have allocated us another table as there were plenty upstairs.

   The food and staff were fab, a little slow on the bill, but cannot be faulted. The mocktail was more ice than drink but the cocktail was fabulous.

   Came November 15th. Booked again Dec 7th, but due to storm Darragh had to postpone to Sun 22nd Dec and cancelled trains. I’m Gluten Free, fabulous choice, was so looking forward to returning due to large choices on GF menu. Great ambiance, staff exceptional service, fabulous location in York to all shops. Would highly recommend to anyone See you again soon/ in the New Year u hope

    Communication not good payment not taken from the account id asked it to be taken from previous before meal Iv tried twice to call the restaurant no joy and the phone just rang off
