Little Sister DTLA features East-meets-West inspired dishes served in a
relaxed social environment that feels more residential than
restaurant, as if you"re being invited into the Chef Tin's home.
Little Sister's menu showcases Chef Tin's take on one of the more
interesting and rich collisions of food and culture that was borne out
of the European colonization of Southeast Asia. Dishes blend and
balance the spices and flavors of Southeast Asia with French
techniques and Dutch and British colonial influences. The menu is
continually and progressively evolving, reflecting inspiration and the
seasons. Scott Young along with Chef Tin curates the restaurant's wine and beverage program
with a focus on intriguing labels, both domestically and from around
the world. Craft beer selection includes special batches from The
Brewery at Abigaile, brewed only for the restaurant.

our waiter was nice and friendly. I think that he thinks we left early because of him, which is not the case at all, he was great. He also the food was better than what I thought it would be.

I love this place. Go every time we see a show at the Ahmanson or Disney Concert Hall. The only thing is you’re seated very close to other patrons. Just be ready to be friendly.

We ate at their location in Irvine and every dish was delicious, however nothing we had at the DTLA location tasted good. Beef was chewy, fish was fishy, other three dishes were bland, and nothing came to the table hot. Felt like the staff knew because they never asked how we liked the food. Maybe Monday is an off night.

The hostess for Friday night was so rude, lacked active listening and honesty didn’t give a damn about anything or anyone.

We came in 15 minutes before our reservation (9PM) were immediately told they weren’t sitting any additional tables. I advised I had a reservation the server then said “oh ok I didn’t know that was possible” then proceeded to seat us. We were rushed to order and our food was cold, pho was lukewarm and the whole time we were at the restaurant two servers talked about how they were “completely unmotivated to be there” because of some policy change regarding finance or a tip pool. I think the attitude translated into the food because nothing was good. This is my second time here, the first time everything was amazing and I was really excited to come back and try new things but this experience is definitely deterring. I understand everybody has bad days, especially if it affects your pockets, but to openly discuss business practices and speak poorly of the restaurant in front of customers is just bad for business.

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with us. We’re disappointed to hear that your visit did not live up to the high standards you experienced the first time and that we strive to maintain with every guest. We pride ourselves on delivering both quality cuisine and attentive service, and we clearly fell short during your visit. It’s concerning to learn that our servers openly discussed their personal concerns about policy changes. While we understand how workplace adjustments can affect our staff, it is unacceptable for these frustrations to be voiced in front of guests. We hope you will give us another chance to provide you with the excellent dining experience you remember.
